duke o' york
It don't mean a thing....
I hope I'll win this in election because my goal is to get fewer votes than you and to ensure that anyone who even considered voting for me thinks again and decides to put the X next to Nemo instead!
D means declined. I've now edited the top post. Sorry about the confusion. I was going to use R for refused nomination but Duke edited the post to give me a hand and used D like we have done in previous elections so I just followed on that way. Makes sense really. I'm a little confused as to how civ1-addict has declined one nomination, accepted another, but is still unconfirmed for his third.
If we were in the Civ 3 game then there would be zillions of people playing so we could afford to make the Newspaper Editor independent of the government but in the middle of the Civ sandwich, we can't afford such luxuries. If people think that the position has to be separate from the government then please say so and Octavian will have to choose between getting editorship automatically for the first turn (it was his idea after all) or battling it out for both the presidency and the editorship.
If you have accepted a nomination then you can, like last time, make your views known in the election thread for the position you are going for. Of course, we'll have some idea of what your views are from your participation in other threads but feel free to expound them to the masses and to make yourself sound as good as possible!
And remember folks:
VOTE GARYNEMO!
