Term 3. Welcome to the Foreign Ministry.

IF they dont...we know where to attack next...

base is 700 for each so yes exactly equal, though personally i would put machinery above feud in terms of 'decent tech' it gives you half a mace and an xbow.

We would have to put a non trade on agreement on the arrangement.

Then it's a good deal, considering that it's harder to trade techs in multiplayer than in single player. It's nearly impossible to extort a tech in a peace treaty when playing against human opponents.

only if we somehow manage to get hold of iron :-)

not if we take iron city...:)

AND......manage to expand the cultural borders to have it in the city radius ;)

nope raze and resettle...:)

Dear CFC,

As you may already know (BCLG100 and I have had quite a few chats recently), EVG is currently researching Paper. We will be done in 50 AD, and as a result will be able to accept world map trades from 75 AD onwards. Would you be interested in negotiating a mutually beneficial world map trade between our two nations when that time comes? We would certainly be keen for the opportunity to learn more about one another's geography without needing the hassle of having units passing through each other's lands. :)

Regards,
Emperor of EVG.

I think that it would be good Idea to agree to these conditions.

Can we try to factor in an "update"? If we are the first team they trade with, and then they trade with, say, 3 more civs, then we will miss out on the info provided by those 3 teams. Perhaps we can trade maps again in 5-10 turns time, or even give them our map immediately, and then get their map a few turns later?

Re: machinery - absolutely, spread the word and see what we can get.

:agree: We should not trade our world map with them immediately. Let them trade with other civs before we surrender our information. We are at war with GCA now and would not want them to know where and how lightly defended our cities are.

not unless they agree to not trade their world map on again without first seeking our agreement, we dont want everyone being able to see into our lands whenever they fancy it.

Checking the e-mail (save update in a moment), I see we have these unposted messages with CBR!

CBR on June 27 said:
Hi Alies, how is the war going? on our side Hogsmead is very well fortified and we are building Galleys to try and Amphibious attack, the only maritimal city on this side of the continent is a new founded one, it will take some time to build galleys to atack. We hope things are going better for you.

As for Alphabet we are good to trade it, as we had found that GCA broke the agreeiment of no trade with Theology, they sent it to EVG as payment for debts.

We want to ask you for permission to trade Metalurgy with GCA, they are offering a deal that includes Code of Laws and Compass, the deal include Metalurgy, I think that having these techs with us is very helpful, as we can trade it with you latter. Of course that if you have a problem with it we will not trade.

Hey angelo, just a quick note, do you actually mean to trade with GCA (the team your at war with) or another team?

Also what benefit will we see out of allowing you to trade MC away?
Seemed rather blunt for an ally. :nono:

Their reply:
CBR less than an hour ago said:
No the trade is with GOC, not GCA, what I’m saying is that GCA had broke the trade agreement we had by trading a tech they could not trade, they said that the war broke our agreement what is not true, as we had not even an open border and the agreement was not bid to peace. Anyway we want just to say we are free to trade Alphabet if you want.

As for the benefit of letting us trade Metal Casting. aside from being fair with an ally and letting a team that is always willing to tech trade with you get some new techs I don’t see any, unless you have some kind of deal in mind.

But just for note, the GOC is the only team that does not have Metal Casting yet, so I believe that if you forbid us to trade with them they will trade it with someone else what will not benefit CBR neither CFC.

So if we do or do not make this deal is up to you, as we would never break an agreement. And we will understand any decision you make.

Best Regards
Galahad of Teotihuacan.

They have a point. Let's see what we can get from COG before CBR does.

It was I that replied, it was too Angelo and not to team CBR- the personal rapport and what what, anyways- talking with him now, trying to arrange some form of discount on any techs traded with CBR resulting from this trade.

Ok he started getting a bit arsey about tech discount so i figured we best leave it for another date when we can bring it up. I did sort of manage to broker this deal

philo+machinery for Col/alpha/math/compass.

It is 300 beakers in their favour however what i proposed to even it up was that they gift us Col/alpha/compass as soon as they have it (over 20 turns before we'll get machinery). What does everyone think?
