Ooops - I hadn't realised that. I'd be grateful if you could post that as I don't think we'll get enough responses to have a consensus before tomorrow's TC.

I will change my order to switch to Courthouse after Aqueduct as that is the next thng to build after GT (or immediately if I don't get approval)

Took care of it..They should stop. its a bit out side of my "area" but without a president posting orders what can we do. I am sure the DP will stop.

I thought you already got approval Oldbus. I know I saw it somewhere...

Do I not get a vote Sweet?

Of, course, Whomp! I meant no offence that I left you out of the initial list of who was still to vote. :crazyeye:

Dear Governors,
I have officially resigned from the office of the Minister of the Interior today. Whomp's appointment will be announced shortly. Please forward all your concerns and questions to Minister Whomp from here on. Thank You.

Also, as Secetary of Press, just let me know if you want me to write any stories in the Stone Tablet. Thanks.

Governors a few things to discuss....

New Port City, Ft. Impervious, Constitution Falls and Basillica are all killers to our economy. We will add 16gpt by chopping some of your forests to finish the courthouses. This is what I plan to do (as deputy MoI :D).

Second, I think it makes sense for Mic's Gate to release the 2S cottage to Boaring Wallow. The new worker in Mic's Gate will also start a chop 1S of the city. What do you plan to build?

Third, forges are better to start than markets IMO. They will give you +2 :) because of the gems and silver and markets will give you zero :). Unhappiness is much more devastating to a city than health. Who cares if they eat too much but it's a big deal if they refuse to work. It will also help you to finish the market and other future items much faster.

Abydos will be changed to a forge and I think Boaring Wallow should as well.

The reason that MG has that cottage is because it is one of the few good tiles that MG can draw from. BW has plenty of tiles and is already set optimally, with stagnation with the next pop. MG will be starting another worker after the current one finishes.

As for switching BW to a forge, I believe the reason Fetch wanted a market was to increase the already high commerce output in BW. It will help our economy out and let us put the science slider higher for more turns. BW is about to hit its happiness limit, true, but I think the forge can wait a little while, at least until the market is finished.

Mic's Gate has a 2 :food: 1 :hammers: tile available not being worked as well as all the coastal 2 :food: 2 :gold: . It can use the 2/1 tile and make the worker even faster as well BW could increase its already large commerce.

As far as the forge goes....what would finish faster? Forge/market or market/ forge? It wouldn't lose its hammers towards the market but like you say that's his call.

Whomp,

Please be careful with the forest around FI. It seems we're going for a GPP farm there and we need to build the Globe Theatre. I hope that the city will at least pay it's way and not be a drain on the economy, but it will probably not contribute.

OK I see that Oldbus. I will let the mine finish first (7 turns) then move to the forest to chop.

MoI Whomp

I was considering whipping in NPC instead of chopping, as it is already on the happiness limit, has a lot of food, and doesn't need the land for cottages yet. I believe the trees there should be used on a scientific wonder.

The NPC worker is almost done for the moment (one more cottage), so could be used to help mine and farm FI after that.

You are right that happiness is an issue, so please tell me that I am not the only one who thinks that the settler who is 2 turns from being finished should be used to get the incense near BW??

MoI and Governors, are you planning on building the national epic too (in FI ofcourse) and if you do, when do you want to do it?

How about neither. It is highly unethical to whip our citizens, and we need to keep our forrests for future generations.
Forests are coming down. There won't be any future generations if we don't accelerate some courthouses, forges, markets and national and great wonders.

As far as slavery goes...why would we choose a civic that can't be used? Unfortunately, there are many great structures built around the world on the backs of hard labor. Unfortunate but fact.

Govenors-

I am back from my trip. I see Sigma did an excellent job with BW while I was gone. I hope I can continue his good work.

And that's a good justification for the wholesale slaughter of our own citizens? "Others have done it!"

Terrible! We're talking about citizens of our nation here! People that have trusted US to protect them, help them prosper and guide them. In the event of an emergency, these citizen would surely lay down their lives to help protect all, but as a normal action?

Never! The use of forced labor to complete projects rapidly should ONLY be used in emergency situations. The lives of our citizens are too important to carelessly toss aside without an overriding concern.

Ravensfire as past governor of Mic's Gate and now West Licentia I will go on record and say there has never been a citizen sacrificed under my leadership. However, if you feel so strongly about this I would recommend starting a grassroots movement to change our civic to a class system, caste, so it leaves no doubt. We are religious so there is zero anarchy to release the shackles from our people.

Later this month I will be leaving so someone needs to take the deputy position for the Govenor of Auda Minor. (I've already scraficed 1 citzen :( ) but it was worth it ;)
