as the title states, I keep getting the error message "Terran(x) is not a valid win32 application"

I've installed the windows2000/xp patch. I've tried using the compatibility thingie. None of it works. Now I used another copy of only alpha centauri (without the expansion) and it worked fine.

Please help!! I am desperate to play SMACX

someone? please?
pwetty pwetty pwetty please? I've read all the other posts with solutions but they're not working..

Yes, I tried both already. But I keep getting the same error message when trying to run any of the terran.exe. "Terran(x).exe is not valid win32 application".

Thanks, none of the above two sites helped but after googling some more I found a solution that stated I should copy the terran(x).exe from the CD into the installed directory. It worked. Obviously my .exe files were corrupted as they were only 250kb.
