There seemed to be some interest in my modified TET map for my 1071 CE mod, so here it is.
Changes:
Minor caveats:
That's all; kindly post any problems; and enjoy.
Happy Holidays,
Oz
EDIT: Replaced after 31 d/ls - city of Timbuctu removed.
Changes:
- Minor geographical, such as imposing a conic projection over the Western Med IMO making for better play.
- Resources have been accurately placed! (with the exceptions of horses, cattle, and sheep; see below).
- Mountains and hills have been shuffled around. Mountains are impassable, and mountain passes are represented by diagonal openings between mountains, generally from hill to hill.
- The great ocean currents have been simulated using Sea tiles (1 MP) vs. Ocean tiles (3 MP). Of course current direction cannot be simulated, but this should gear (especially) European powers to their historic areas.
Minor caveats:
- There's no wool (sheep) in the resource .pcx in place, although there are wool resources (invisible) on the map. I assume most of you have favorite graphic sets you'll use anyway.
- Horses, cattle and sheep are pre-placed near where the cities are in the mod, representing domestication.
That's all; kindly post any problems; and enjoy.
Happy Holidays,
Oz
