Texas Limo

Your right, AMERICANS weren't serious. We didn't think it would happen on our territory. Sure, we had some of our Embassies and Ships blown up but not too many people figured there would be anyone stupid/bold enough to mess with us. Besides that, the government only tells you what they want you to know. They knew something was in the works for years!
Its sad to me that it takes something like this, to get people to wake up. The Jews have had to deal with this crap for a long ass time, what makes you think you are immune? Just because your Christian, or because your an American?
I think we Americans like to be lead around like sheep to a slaughter, what we don't know doesn't hurt us. We TRUST our government, the people we VOTE for. But in reality, all we do is sit by. I don't see ANYONE doing crap about ANYTHING. That goes for a lot of other countries too. People have a lot of power, I just wish they could unite and do something about it instead of bi*ching, whining and complaining.

What do you guys think of the fact that we have a Texan for President?

It's just the redneck texans who live outside city limits and have accents that you have to worry about running the country.

I live in a Texas city, and most of my friends have spent there entire lives here, but if you were to talk to them you probably couldn't even tell.............

First term? Did he get fired

Indeed so. mostly for getting caught being unfaithful to his marriage, scandalous liasons, and without any perjury involved.
The point I was trying to make was that prior to 9/11, NOBODY was serious about terrorism.
Apparaently true, (they seemed to be cofident that our capabilities would be a deterrent, but some killers can not be deterred), but Bush senior, formerly head of the CIA, would have been much more open to evaluating the available intelligence and taking action. Congress, regardless of party, would tend to be more reluctant a president to extend police and itteligence powers for the excutive. The executive gets all the additional power and goddies while congress would get half or more of the bad PR and political fallout. It would take some real leadership to move congress on such an issue, certainly more than lip service by the executive branch.
