I ***** and complain mostly, but even someone like me feels a bit grateful for the hard work Firaxis puts in. I've been playing their games since SMAC, and playing Sid's games since Pirates on my commodore 64, (though it was a pirated copy - sorry about that). Civ VI will be legit.

Anyway, there will probably be more *****ing and complaining to come, but I hope they don't take it personally - can't please everyone. I will solemnly watch the game credits before commencing play at 4:15am or so Australian time in honour of every Firaxis employee, including the lunch room ladies and janitor. :)

+1

It's much, much easier to complain and biatch - well done for positive thumbs up to the developers.

Yes overall this seems to be a solid and worthy successor to the series.

Will there be issues especially with AI and multiplayer? Sure, but overall this seems to be good work done by Ed Beach and the whole team.

Why aint nobody making a thread about the upcoming AI battle royal? And yes, I just blatantly ask about this in a non related thread. I'm lazy.

hell yeah! Congrats to the devs and all the staff, who worked very hard to make it real!

I am a programmer myself so I understand how their work is at least for a bit, so yeah, this is job well done for the entire team, and also those who involved in other ways such as promoting, managing etc, I will be ready on 12am 21st to play my first turn

Yes, I would like to give Firaxis a big thank you for all their work on civ6. Making a civ game is a monumental project. As gamers, we often take the games we play for granted because we just have to click an icon and enjoy the game. But every piece of art, every feature, every sound, every bit of text, required work to create and put together in the final package. Civ6 looks to be a great game and I for one, cannot wait to play it on Friday.

People complain all the time. If the economy sucks and there are not enough jobs. If the roads are full of traffic because the economy runs to well.

In my oppinion constructive critisism is Always good. It shows you care.

I love you firaxis. And you pay me back with games that offer thousands of hours of gameplay. I`m a happy civfanatic.

I'm definitely one who's prone to complain when I find something to complain about, but let it be said also, that the only reason I hang around here is because I find the Civ games to be the best games ever. I have confidence that Civ6 will become an amazing game, even if it might not be perfect right at release. So definitely +1 for Firaxis doing a great job, even if they occasionally do make decisions I don't agree with.

They definitely deserved a thread like this. There is enough negativity.
Most of it because we want it to be perfect, but sometimes we go too far with criticism, being quite disrespectful against hard working human beings.
Also, they did a great job! I was just thinking, with release behind the door, most of the design and concepts work excellent, comparing the civ 5, where bunch of great ideas just didn't click together...
Ed Beach really did a great job! And the team followed giving their best.

Thank you Firaxis.

Heck, yeah! Great thread.

Thank you FIRAXIS. These games add to the joy of my everyday life. Thank you SID and THANK YOU ED. Can`t wait to enjoy Civ VI soon!

I can complain about some aspects of the game, but i wouldn't have spent thousands of hours with civ v if I didn't have fun playing it. Civ is an incredible game, I love it, and im very excited for VI, which looks incredible from previews. Thank you for making these masterpieces, firaxis!

+1 When i was 7 i played CIV 1 pirite copy and instantly and irrevocably fell in love with the game. Now i am 32, pay 50 bucks for CiV 6 and think that somehow i cheated Firaxis (should have payed more )
