As we're getting closer to the time of release (at least for you guys in the US), I thought it was about time to thank you all.

I only joined this forum less than two months ago but it has become my most frequently visited website in that time. Since many of us will probably disappear into the real game once it's out I want to take the opportunity to say I had a really great time with all those
- criminalistic masterminds who never tired to explain the "Alphabet Theory" and the Wikivenetian color matching probabilities,
- forensic specialists who detected the tiniest details that could be seen in minuscule tooltips which were visible for fractions of a second and who dug through all those xml-Files excavating the last morsel of information
- people of incredible historic knowledge debating the relative merits of civilizations half of which I had never heard of
- crazy speculations about NA civs who could make their units appear as barbarians
- false leaks planted by "those pesky Russians"
- wild conspiracy theories about true leaks
- the excitement of suddenly disappearing threads
- that excellent humour in the tabloid thread
- and above all: excellent, civil and respectful discussions about so many things. You don't normally get forum discussions of this kind on the web - at least not where I've looked.
- Plus the new experience of having a thread closed by the mods on account of me "trolling".
That really has never happened to me before. Still: On the whole I think you mods do an excellent job.
