The Byzantium Emperor Basil II now acts on a proclamation he once made (a message or post stating how many sailing vessels (2) he would allow in his Territory for purposes of cartography) We have seen this increase in this century and proclaim, any and all sailing vessels within Byzantium pay a tax or a toll of 25 gold each vessel for its journey threw my waters or a total 250gps within a 20 turn span to allow all of Christendom. Muslim vessels over 2 will also be included.

Does the Byzantine king's greed know no bounds. The Christian kings are on a mission from God. Any act of aggression on any of our ships will be treated as an act of war. We would have included the Emperor as a Christian brother but if he continues down this path of extortion we will be forced to push him aside and place another properly Christian emperor in his place.

New Tyre - Ansar 2/4 k German Knight
Badajoz - I used some swords for no really good reason other than to thin the herd.
v French Knight - swords - lost 2, one survived, knight retreated but killed a GL. Ansar 4/4 kills knight.
On Mountains - Ansar 2/4 kills knight, Army 10/13 kills Crusader.
It is good to see the infidels squabble.

I do not have time to write it all up but the summary is I killed everyone. The French landing at New Baghdad, the Germans at New Tyre and the French Inquisitor near Badajoz. Lost about 7 Ansars and a Long bow to the French landing. And 1 Ansar to the Germans.
If you want more detail, please say so and I will try to get it together tomorrow.

I'd like a battle report. So I know how you killed 22 units including 2 armies only loosing a small amount of troops.
Ok - I really need to figure out civ assistant.
The gist is that the loses were mainly to the armies. I was pretty disappointed in how the swiss mercs did as they make up much of my defense. I'll get it done later today.
French stack landed near New Bagdad.
2 Armies did not keep track of the switch. Note all Abbasid units were veterans, only 2 promotions in battle. First a Long bow then Ansars, resulting condition:
12/14, 10/12, 9/14, 8/13, 6/14, 1/13 lost long bow and 5 Ansars, Armies still alive.
