Not just a car - it's her patrol car, Today. ;) Everytime they need a boost, just press the button. :)

Obviously not as obsessive an anime fan as I thought... :p

anyone ever seen ''ninja resurection'':lol::coool:

has anyone seen the movie of Escaflowne?

Oh oh, did I mention I have... Er, actually I don't have the manga - never seen it. :p

Watched the series a long tim ago - quite good, presentation, story and all. :thumbsup: As for the ending, yeah it's quite unexpected, but then that's what I like about anime - the unexpected twists in the stories. Rather diffierent fr your conventional shows. :)

Over the last weekend, been watching the .hack anime. Quite boring - mainly dialogue. If you don't play the PS2 game(s), you'll probably have no idea what's happening at all.

Also caught the first few episodes of something called 1st Mail. Quite funny really, but with overused theme i.e. Ah! My Goddess clone. This time, the 'goddess' is an older woman, and a half-alien fr outer space, posing as a high school teacher in her role as 'watcher' for the Milky Way Alliance' (whatever). :lol: And yeah, the main guy teen character got married to her early on, due to circumstantial reasons. :lol:

here's apic of Hitomi :love:

Is that supposed to be Milerna? :lol:

For Escaflowne, one minor thing I don't like is their seemingly sharper than necessary noses...

Actually, they just had a double showing this evening of Escaflowne and Cowboy Bebop over at the Art Institute theater. It was only sheer chance I saw the listing but I'm glad I went, both movies were very good.

Escaflowne was, I thought, the weaker of the 2. For one thing, it was the subtitled version, which is ok I guess, but I get tired of reading text instead of listening after a while. The ending was a little strange.. I just took it for granted that she was stuck there, until they said otherwise in the last scene. Doesn't make much sense- seems like she'd be happier staying w. Van as there's not much waiting for her back in reality.

The Cowboy Bebop one was great. It had quite a bit of humor to it, a solid scifi/action plot, and some wonderful animation and fight scenes. I also enjoyed the little pop-culture references they had in the background: there were posters with 'law' and 'order' on them in one scene, an upside-down logo for ‘WcDonalds’, I think a ‘Codac’ one, and of course a mac-shaped tower on the desk in the ISSP office with ‘G11’ on the front. If anyone can explain to me the bizarre human need to put ‘easter eggs’ in nearly everything we create, I’ll give them a medal.
