Let me know how the Army mod works after your fresh installation of Civ.

Fresh install of Civ IV BtS fixed the graphics problem.

Excellent. Now to fix the promotion problem. It's a Civ4 issue and not a problem with the mod. The CIV4PromotionInfos.xml file just doesn't like comments. So all you need to do is delete them.

Open the CIV4PromotionInfos.xml file and remove all comments that have this:

<!-- Army Mod -->

and this

<!-- End Army Mod -->

Then the promotions will work for all of the Army units.

Yes, that fixes the problem. I should have known as I have experienced exactly this problem before.

Yes! I love the phalanx, as it makes a great unit for both the MTI and the Ancient Army.

I played a game through the future era and took a new snapshot of the popup to select the Army Era. The snapshot is now listed as an attachment to view on the first post. It replaced the snapshot that showed only two eras.

The Army Mod is obsolete. The replacement is the Combined Forces Mod. See my collection of mods for more details and a link to download the Combined Forces Mod in standard or WoC format:
