Hi, this is my first mod. I am replying to a request and decided to make this.

The Ashanti Empire

DETAILS:

Leader: Osei Tutu

UU: Twafo; replaces musketman

UB: Drumming Station; replaces courthouse; +2 espionage, +1 culture

I will be adding screenshots.

Go ahead and use this in any mod you wish, just give me credit where due!

Thanks to some of the great artists on CFC for the models for the UU and UB

Thank you for your feedback.
(Since this is my first mod, Please be kind!)

I believe a moderator has to approve it first. sry

I'm thinking the UB should be a drumming station, replacing the courthouse, with +2 espionage and +1 culture. I just need a model to reskin or something

You should be able to download it now, but I am reuploading it. It is now modular, I just need to fix a problem with the buttons. Thanks to The_J for his help.

Can you post some pics?
I kinda of drew up a outline for the Ashanti Empire for another mod:
Spoiler :

Empire of Ashanti:
Unique Unit: Krobos - Replaces Maceman: Starts with Woodsman 1 and medic (Info: Krobos was a special unit of the Ashanti Army. The Ashanti armies served the empire well, supporting its long period of expansion and subsequent resistance to European colonization. Armanent was primarily with firearms(so, maybe they should replace musketmen not macemen), but some historians hold that indigenous organization and leadership played a more crucial role in their successes. These are considered even more significant when it is considered that Ashanti had numerous troops from conquered or incorporated peoples, and faced a number of revolts and rebellions from these peoples over its long history. The political genius of the symbolic "golden stool" and the fusing effect of a national army however, provided the absis for enough unity to keep the empire viable. Total potential strength was some 80,000 to 100,000 making the Ashanti army bigger than the better known Zulu, comparable to Africa's largest army, the legions of Ethiopia. Mobilization depended on small cadres of regulars, who guided and directed levees and contingents called up from provincial governors. Organization was structured around an advance guard, main body, rear guard and two right and left wing flanking elements. This provided flexibility in the forest country the Ashanti armies typically operated in. The approach to the battlefield was typically via converging columns, and tactics included ambushes and extensive maneuvers on the wings. Unique among African armies, the Ashanti deployed medical units to support their fighters. This force was to expand the entire substantially and continually for over a century, and defeated the British in several encounters.)
Unique Building: Foreign Office - Replaces Customs House: Plus one culture, comes with code of law. (info: The Ashanti government was built upon a sophisticated bureaucracy in Kumasi, with separate Ministries to handle the state's affairs. Of particular note was Ashanti's Foreign Office based in Kumasi; despite its small size, the Ashanti Foreign Office allowed the state to pursue complex arrangements with foreign powers, and the Office itself contained separate departments for handling relations with the British, French, Dutch, and Arabs individually.)

Leaders - Osei Kofi Tutu I - Personality: Imperialistic/Spiritual - Favorite Civic: Representation(or)Theocracy)
(Info: Osei Kofi Tutu I was one of the co-founders of the Empire of Ashanti, along with Okomfo Anokye, his chief priest. The Ashanti were a powerful, and highly disciplined people of West Africa, whose history goes back more than 2000 years. The Ashanti are said to be the descendants of those Ethiopians mentioned by Diodorus Siculus and Herodotus who were driven southward by a conquering Egyptian army. Osei Tutu led an alliance of Ashanti states against the regional hegemon, the Denkyira, completely defeating them. Then, through force of arms and diplomacy, he induced the rulers of the other Ashanti city-states to join allegiance to Kumasi, his capital. Through his career he was closely advised by Okomfo Anokye, his chief Priest. Osei Tutu, assisted by Okomfo Anokye, developed a new constitution for the Union. The Asantahene, who was also the Kumasihene, was at its head, with the kings of the states of the union forming the Confederacy or Union Council. While the power of the asantehene was not absolute, Osei Tutu enjoyed much despotic power. He is arguably one of the most significant black kings in history. He more than tripled the size of his empire through wars of conquest, and expansion, and he brought a sense of dignity back to West Africa. One of the key objectives for forming the Asante Union was to overthrow the Denkyira, Osei Tutu placed strong emphasis on the military organization of the Union. Supposedly borrowing the military organization from the Akwamu, Osei Tutu honed the Union army into an effective and efficient fighting unit.)
Personality[b/] Spiritual, Nationalistic, Organized,
Unit/Tech Set – West African
Artstyle – West African

either-way, good work :)

What mod would that be? I'm wondering because there are no African art or citystyles. I'm thinking of adding one in this mod, based on stuff from Varietas Delectat, where I also got the model for the UU.

I added a UB, the drumming station. I just reuploaded the mod for some minor changes and some fixes. For the animated LH, churchill could make a good base (although i just started reskinning units and buildings, and I won't likely be able to do it.)
