My third scenario 'The Battle of Australia' is now complete. It covers a hypothetical Japanese invasion of Australia in 1942.

Due to email problems, I wont be able to submit it to Civfanatics or Apolyton untill tomorrow, but I've posted it on the Apolyton Scenario League Board here: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29376

(If you don't want the hassle of downloading it in three parts BeBro has kindly offered to put the scenario up on his webpage in the next few days :) )

I just submitted the scenario

how different is it from the play test version? i haven't had the chance to download it yet. I will, but i've been busy with my midterms:mad:

It is available on the site that hosts me now under:

I did not put it on my site because there will be some changes in the next weeks there...;)

Thanks

Awesome scenario!
A couple of comments though...(not that anyone cares)
Cloncurry and Wyndham are misspelt, and although the populations are accurate, it makes it really easy to destroy towns (I've lost four or five already). It's so great to have another GOOD Australian scenario to play.

Here's version 1.1 of this scenario

I've made the following changes:

*Replaced some of the unit graphics
* ran a spell check over the events ( :o )
* Modified the events so that a total Australian victory is now possible (the Japanese now no longer get an unlimited supply of Japanese Army units)

To install this upgrade, simply unzip the file into the directory where you have the scenario and let it copy over the old BoA files.

Here's the file: (85 Kb)

Thanks - those are great

Gukguk: your unit making ability ceases to amze! Those are great! HAve you ever thought about trying vehicles? Maybe just editing existing ones and then drawing your own?

I've tried a few times to create vehicles. Here are the results (unedited and edited versions). It took me a long time, and I rather let this work be done by people who are better at creating vehicles than me, like you and Case. Creating infantry just suits me better.

Some more units for boa; australian partisans, AA-guns, anti-tank gun, new-zealand infantry and japanese paratroopers.

The scenario is still great, though pretty difficult.

Things you could change are:

less railroads, greater movement rate of units
larger sea battles (make it impossible to destroy japanese battleships with a few bombers)
more ground units (to reduce the effect of bombers)
bigger cities (although realistic, they are destroyed in no-time, and you can't build much in these small villages; buiding up your army is fun, so maybe it should be a little easier)
partisan war could be interesting, especially in the northern jungles.
some kind of supply line between australia and japanese held territory (wich you can interrupt).

Ofcourse, I'm not very experienced in creating scenario's, so I don't know if these changes are possible. Anyway, good work!
