The best conquest leader?

I always had a thing for Darius.
Organized trait for bit empire, without too much troubles.
Financial to sustain that empire and its army.
His UB is okay, I must confess that I barely use them.
His UU is actually quite nice for early rushes, but not as good as Egyptians War Chariot.

I must say that I play most of my games on huge maps, where Org trait is really useful.
For a normal map, maybe not that much, Elizabeth or Victoria may be more interesting.
As already pointed out, Creative is a great trait when you start playing the game, since it take care for you, at early stage, of your culture expansion.

The great power of Creative is one gets the whole city radius, not just the 8 surronding tiles, quickly
and at no expense or concern. A good trait, not the best.
The bests are Financial, easy to play with, and Philo, not so easy.

Asoka and Gandhi are pretty good. The most overpowered UU in the game (unless you're playing on Marathon or Epic), good traits (SPI helps when swapping from wartime to peacetime civics, ORG makes the captured cities slightly less of a financial drain and PHI helps for bulbing key techs) and they start with Mining.
