The Call to Power conversion collection

I was going to convert these three CTP2 units (Spy, Slaver, and Fascist) but didnt have the time. If someone else would like to take this on feel free. I recommend reducing the size by 85% and you'll have to reduce it to 8-bit and make a pallete and add civ colors and make mirror frames for the directions that ctp2 doesnt use.

You cannot yet. Conversion has been delayed for an undetermined period of time.

yep, so far this thread seems to be in the wrong forum...

Well, I was over enthousiastic with that...
I have a tool to open the sprites from CTP and export them.
I could then adapt SBB to produce the units for civ...

But when I looked in details, I discover CTP units are missing a lot of animation and/or orientation, and thus it's not really possible to convert them to Civ... :(

I guess sh** happens, would have been nice I always liked CTP, oh well, so I won't have slavers or clerics (ore any of the cool futuristic units :( ) in my game, or more precisely I'll have to find some other units for that.

The slaver unit would be a great way to take advantage of C3C's capabilities, and is the unit I would most like to see in this collection...

There are a lot of missing animations.

Still, I did manage to cobble together a few halfway acceptable convertions.

I've never thought to release them as:-

a) You were sure to do a better job, I don't think of mine as acceptable quality for release.

b) I have no desire to steal your thunder.

a) That's also why I stopped. I thought the result won't be good enough to be released here.
b) You have nothing to worry, I'm a nice guy...

I would not have been angered by that...

Well, not to much....

well steph, is there at least an all-8-directions static animation for some of the scifi ones? (they could be of use in my mod). you could release that and i could to a FLICster job for an attack and movement/fidget animation...

IIRC there are four _different_ directions, (N,NE,SE,S).
You can Mirror NE/SE to get NW/SW.
SW/SW have to serve for E/W

That's what I did anyway.

Well, some animations don't even have that many directions....

Now you remind me, yes, some were almost useless.

Luckily for me, these were mostly the ones I wasn't that interested in.
