The Daily Q

Now that everyone has contact, I would like to write some newspaper articles in the main forum from time to time. We'll call it The Daily Q. The aim of a newspaper is:
1) PR for our team to try and get a few more members.
2) To show other teams that we are a lighthearted, fun bunch that they want to ally with/ listen to.
3) Provoke people from other teams to give away information.

The articles will avoid revealing any important information, and if you think one goes to far, say so. Feel free to contribute, articles won't go on the main forum without approval.

Without further ado, here is our first article, to be released after we shrine our first Great Prophet. (I'm not sure about the date.)

The only information we might not be comfortable about revealing (that I can think of) is the banana ad.

Also, this thread can be a good place to discuss events on the main forum. (I'm surprised Mavericks or Merlot haven't posted there after making contact.)

LOL I love it, especially the banana ad.

Though it is probably well known we have Stonehenge, you do have a point with revealing we have bananas. But I think posting it in the main forums would be great, and we might get some new people interested. Plus knowing we have bananas really doesn't help any team. An article for the Mahabodhi while after we've built it.

The banana ad is no big deal. Any team can see we have access to bananas if they looked in the diplo screens so it's not revealing any info they can't already find.

I suggest that you re-read the article though as I found two spelling mistakes...

The Great Prophet part I'm assuming means this is going to be around the time the GP pops - in other words, this would double as an announcement for the Mahabodhi too. But it's great, funny and light-hearted, really nice work.

I didn't check but I wonder if the admins saw this before or after posting their thread about a new general news update to the game (see the main forum above). If we want to talk about what, if anything, we would like to say there that is perhaps also reasonable. I'm actually not sure a lot of teams will go for what Dave is suggesting, they may be hesitant to reveal info, but we'll see, I'd be fine with anything reasonable about us as well.

Yes it is intended to double as a Mahabodhi announcement. I'll look it over when I put it up, I'll have to insert the name of the prophet.

Dave's post came first, I figure he'll post in here saying what he wants to put up. We'll have to organize an embassy to the UN probably to deal with issues that will arise there.
