you've really got your hands full with all these historical scenario's nokmirt. I like itPerhaps once ACW is in a playable state I can lend more time helping with some mods like yours. We're not too far, I just finished merging RevDCM earlier today (it took me 3 tries
, but the 3rd try only took like 2 hours), including all the python, so maybe I could help you on some of those fronts as well.
Shiggs in civ 3, coastal bombardment could destory buildings, like the coastal fortress, is this possible in civ 4? I love Ranged Bombardment, but my ironclads, or ships period, rarely get a hit. Which is realistic, but there should be a chance a building gets destroyed, or set on fire, triggering an event. This is possible isn't it? It would improve the game greatly. Just food for thought.
I surely could use some help. I have alot to learn, but it is alot of fun. Basically, I have been taking older mods and trying to make them better. These are some of my suggestions.
1.) I have some issues with our 1861 AD mod. My partner Ben added new civics, and he says the game loads, but crashes at the diplomacy window, some bug problem, we cannot figure out. The Bug version is 3.6, for that mod. I would love to upgrade it to 4.2. I am playtesting an earlier version of the mod now, and it is going well. I have checked all my logs, and there are some errors, but they do not crash the game. Things like sound files are missing, for some civilizations leaderheads for example. Minor things that should be addressed before repairing Ben's update, and adding that to the mod. I think if my playtest goes well I am going to release a Beta version.
2.) I would love to either update the Great War mod to BTS 3.19, RevDCM, BUG 4.2 etc. Or we could look into making some scenarios to fit Snafusmith's Blood & Iron mod. Blood & Iron would be the better choice in my book. It is full of great ideas and an awesome trench system, that was in the works last time I checked. In fact he requested I help him with a scenario. I think it would be a great idea.
3.) I have a Napoleon mod that was created on Warlords, I would love to bring this up to BTS as well, with all new python events, and so on.
4.) I love the RoM mod. I was thinking of creating a scenario or stand alone mod set in Ancient Times, perhaps Alexander the Great or something like that. I want it based on the possibility that Alexander could possibly invade China. Far fetched yes, but interesting. So we would have to use a Giant Earth Map. I don't know Shiggs there are so many possibilities.
I cannot wait for your ACW mod to come out. 1861 AD would fit nicely with it. You also know the time period very well, and Python. I would be honored to have your help.

Oh by the way Shiggs, if you would like a playtester to help you with ACW, I again, would be honored. I would give you some very useful feedback. Talk to you again soon.
