Here is a little game to tease your history knowledge. You pick something specific from the history and culture of any nation (for instance objects, weapons, buildings, places, events, people) and then that nation gets one point and enter a list of nations below. Next person uses the word you chosen, and pick a new word for another nation that begins with the letter the last word ended with.

For example:

Abraham Lincoln

USA 1 (+1)

Next (have to use N since Lincoln ends with that letter):

Nero

USA 1
Italy 1

Next have to use letter O and so on...

RULES:

* The country that first reach 250 points wins
* You may only vote once a day
* You may not vote on same country twice a row!
* If your picked word is not a correct historical subject for that country, the country loses 1 point
* If your words ends with q, y, å, ä, ö, z or x the next person may chose to use the 2nd last letter instead (or 3rd last if 2nd last is also any of the above letters!). If he/she still manages to find a word that begins with the actual last letter (for example Zero plane), the country gets 2 point (Japan +2)
* Please add a brief description of your word, for example Abraham Lincoln (American president in the 1860s)
* Have Fun and learn a lot!! :D

Ok, I start this then:

Fidel Castro (Retired leader of Cuba)

Cuba 1 (+1)

Battle of Omdurman, 1898. General Kitchener and the Anglo-Egyptian Army destroyed a Dervish army outside Omdurman (using Maxim Guns against obsolete rifles and spears) and killing the Khalifa Abdullahi, spelling the end of the Mahdiyya, a fundamentalist state established several years earlier by the Khalifa's successor.

Mayas (A civilization in central america around 1000 AD

Germany 1
Sudan 1
Cuba 1
Maya 1 (+1)

Do you think you could choose a suitable modern country where Maya originally lived instead? Maya is a civilization, not a country...
