The Horror Within

Welcome to The Horror Within, my very own AC! This a ‘Type 2’ AC, in that there is very little to no combat. Instead, this is an AC based on plot. Specifically, a plot about... well, that’s to be discovered throughout the game. All you know is that you woke up in a bedroom with some other people and that’s about it. You don’t remember anything. At all. More shall be revealed throughout the game, and some parts of the story may never be resolved. But that's neither here nor there.

Now! Character design. The template is easy enough:

Name: What you’re called.
Gender: Male or female. Both, neither, or in between is not allowed.
Appearance: What you look like. You must be human and you must be clothed. Anything outlandish will not be permitted.
Items: Anything a normal person might have. Nothing like a tank or something else in a similar vein. I reserve full right to veto anything I want.

Do we have at least a time period? Is this set in modern day USA? Victorian England? A giant mix of people from any era or place?

Also what is with the discrimination against transgendered people?

Time period is modern day. As for location, you're not sure.

Discrimination was mostly because there are endless jokes about people asking if they can be 'both' or 'neither' for gender. If you really want to be transgendered and you're perfectly serious, I'll allow it, but I feel that if people want to do it as a joke it is offensive and shouldn't be allowed.

By location I meant where our people could be from, I take that at the very least they need to be able to speak English?

Where your from isn't something you or your character knows. All you can use to deduce that is accent and perhaps ethnicity. You do need to speak English, though.
