^He means "UK". In Turkish it is common to call the UK "England", and you can't blame the Turks for "ignorance" because the UK actually encourage it:

Well, I don't read Turkish, so I'll take your word for it, but there is still no need to correct me in smarmy capitals when I at least know the difference.

Arakhor, then you should get angry with firaxis as well, as WC/Lizzy/Vicky was an "english" leader in the game. And we are talking about the game here, not politics. But you, as a UK citizen, take the subject to a much different layer.
UK is a formal body. When talking about nations, the world remembers england and scotland seperately. This is also why there is english in the game, not british.

That is true, but since you have been routinely one of the first to jump on all the Turkish/Ottoman/Arab misuses being thrown around and try to correct them, I didn't think you'd be so historically inaccurate when referring to other nationalities.

this is not a case to be exaggurated. UK is just delicate about this. ottoman empire was also called as Turkey most of the time but this wasn't accepted as an insult although ottoman empire covered much more area than just where Turks lived.

of course i will jump to misuses, because i like history and i have free time to discuss while i'm at work. and when sb askes for returning to the topic, i never make it longer. and i also sometimes try to go back to topic myself.
