The Iroqouis War, Citizen discussion and Advice Thread

Excellent plan, General. We will probably be moving fresh troops up to the front to reinforce our advancing veterans. With new troop movement around his hold out cities, his opinion or attitude may change in regards to his peace offerings. If Hiawatha doesn't put these cities on the table (or submit to our request), attacking with fresh troops or backtracking are both an option. And just because he doesn't want to give them up on the first peace offer from us, doesn't mean he won't want to give them to us on the second...

Let's make a drive for Salamanca. If Hiawatha has only riflemen than we can use our mechanized infantry on the offence. They won't attack as well as the tanks but will hold their gains better.

It'll cost 35 gold to investigate Grand River, 88 for Tonawanda and 174 to check out Salamanca. If we do this we can calculate whether we have enough forces in reach to take the capital in the next few turns.

Once we take Salamanca we can upgrade more infantry for half price. After the upgrade we can offer to return Salamanca for peace.

Just keep them away from Heliopolis, and I'll be happy.

I'm not so sure about returning Salamanca, I'd still like to use Leo's for Modern Armor and Radar Artillary.

But, If I see more support for your plan Donsig, i will post a poll.

Also I'm petitioning for the funds for the investigations you mentioned, I feel they will be most valuable.

That a mass naval buildup commences. Then start a naval campiagn too eliminate the entire Iros Navy. that should do two things for us

1.Eliminate any chance of the Iros attacking from the sea.

and

2. Will give Hiwathia something to think about.

I'm not real sure about giving Salamanca back once we take it either. It would be nice to upgrade our Tanks at half price.

That's the same reason why I don't think we should give it back. It's his fault that he lost the city, plus it would look nice in our emoire. He's unfit to rule on the continent.

I don't agree with returning Salamanca. They have pyramids, of which we can sell graneries (AFTER we're assured no culture flipping will take place). They also have Copernicus (but are probably hoplessly corrupt).

You know eliminating the Iro mainland will GARENTEE without a doubt that Salamanca won't flip back to the Iro.

seriously I feel not taking any other cities may result in a flip, because the culture of those cities are already so high because they're so established.
