John Kerry and John Edwards are coming to my town tommorow :D Luckily, my family is friends with some high officials in the Democratic Party, and we got VIP tickets and I get to volunteer :D I'll be doing various jobs. I thought I scanned the tickets and my volunteer id, but it looks like I didn't X_x

CNN's going to be there too.

As you can tell, I'm pretty excited.

I'll try to get some pictures if possbile :goodjob:

John Edwards is a cool guy, so have fun when you meet him. No idea about Kerry, never came into contact with him...but enjoy yourself anyway. Eat some cheese and be merry!

Tell Kerry I said hi.

Wow, that was an awesome experience.

Me, my brother, and a few of my friends were volunteering.

There were at least 5,000 people there.

I was responsible for crowd control, passing out water, etc.

Kerry impressed me, alot more than John Edwards did. When Kerry spoke, you could tell that he had experience, that he meant what he was talking about, and knew what he was going to do. Edwards was a good speaker also, but he was not as good as Senator Kerry.

Teresa Heinz Kerry and Elizabeth Edwards also spoke. Heinz Kerry did a horrible job of speaking :( Her english is somewhat bad, but you could still understand her despite the pauses she took in between words.

Lots of press there. National and local. And I was up close. It was fun, I met some aides to Kerry :D I definantly want to be involved in politics when I am older, on a national level. I'd love to be an intern during the summer in college. Definantly a fun experience.

Both Kerry and Edwards were equally popular with the West Virginians there. This includes the rich ones, the poor ones, the middle-class ones. All sorts of people were represented at the rally.

I shoke Senator Kerry's hand, grabbed his wife's hand ;) and Senator Kerry also signed my "Kerry-Edwards" sign. I'm going to frame it and hang it up on my wall.

Let me say once again, this was totally, absolutely awesome. I wish he would come alot more often, haha.

Pictures will come tonight :)

Got some pics

You really won't find this on like the AP, haha.

I'm the tall brown guy. The guy who looks like an Asian white guy is my friend, Jourdan.

Oops, wrong picture. That guy in the pic is not my brother, he's my friend Jourdan

Those are some pretty bad pics of me. The sun was making me sweaty, hot, and tired. I even got darker because I stood out there so long.

I'll try get some better pics of me later, haha.

I'm doing a similar thing (only less cool) for a man running to be the US Senator from Illinois (he's also a Democrat, name: Barack Obama). It sounds like it's about the same thing. I, too am looking forward to that.

Hope you have as much fun as I did.

One of the most exciting parts was when some of Kerry's aides went up on the stage and started throwing Kerry-Edwards t-shirts, while "Beautiful Day" by U2 was playing. They were really energetic and it was really, really cool. Political rallies are awesome, more so when they are well-organized and publicized. I saw alot of my friends and teachers there :) It was damn cool.

The girl in the picture if one of my friends, but it's a good picture of me I guess because I don't look that chinky, though there's not much light on my face :(

Cool Musa. I hope you had a good time. I've never been to any event such as this by any party.

I've seen 30 little Indian kids dance to the lines in your quote.

It was at one of those Hindu diwalis things :crazyeye:

But I'm Muslim, not Hindu :P
