I recently read something where Kael (I think it was Kael) said that many of the leaders had mental illnesses. Like Auric Ulvin is bipolar and Perpentach is schizophrenic. Do any of the other leaders seem to have mental illness?

auric and per I'm not surpised about haveing mental illness same for the leaders of the shiem and cablim but as for others I not quite sure..

Can you really be called schizophrenic when the voices are real?

He's still crazy, though. I've also decided that Os-Gabella and Tebryn Arbandi are suicidal and Charadon and Jonas Endain have anger problems. Mostly because the image of Charadon and Jonas in an anger management class makes me laugh.

Keep in mind that suicidal tendencies and anger are only symptoms in terms of mental illness, which isn't necessary for either. Having said that, I disagree that those two have anger problems. They just have worldviews that clash a little violently with the establishments they grew up in. And it should be said that Tebryn and Os-Gabella seek the death of every other living being before their own deaths. Suicide's not really a priority of theirs.

Nice.

Technically, Os-Gabelle want's to destroy the world in a form of mass suicude, while Tebryn was promised that if creation is destroyed, he won't go to hell. Their both extremly selfish in that regard.

I'm not really sure about that one.

Regardless, it is not his only mental illness. He was autistic as a child, although Kyorlin taught him to somewhat compensate for this using magic. After the mental barriers were broken, the schizophrenia may actually have helped him become better adjusted.

Schizophrenia actually means split mind, Perpentach is more of a merged mind :p

Schizophrenia doesn't mean split mind. It's a common misconception. The name of what you're thinking of is dissociative identity disorder. Schizophrenia manifests itself in hallucinations, paranoia and erratic behavior. Which, let's face it, fits Perp to a T.

I meant the words. Schizein (σχίζειν, "to split") and phrēn, phren- (φρήν, φρεν-, "mind").

I don't know about that.
Spoiler Scenario Info :

The one guy posing as him in the first scenario was trying to use his good reputation among women to force himself on a girl, and the real Falamar came to the rescue. Then he lead the girl home, as a gentlemen.

Gentlemanly behaviour is inherently sexist (protecting/aiding the "weaker sex"). It's just a kind of sexism most females do not object to.

Well, I guess that's true. But just saying he is a sexist isn't a correct description either.

Some of Falamar's popups suggest he genuinely respects his female fellow leaders. Ethne, Mahala, and Hannah come to mind as examples off the top of my head. Sheelba, not so much.

Do you have to play as Falamar to see these popups, or as one of the female leaders with Falamar in the game, or what? I've heard of these before but never seen one firsthand.

Falamar or the female leader in question, it's from Falamar's perspective in either case.

I'll be damned. God knows I've played plenty of games as female leaders, but thinking on it Falamar tends not to show up much in them. The events are random, then? you're not guaranteed to see them?
