Always one to enjoy infamy and scandal, the ENEMY ACE asks you
fine folk to ponder who you consider to be most nasty figures in history!

Make a vote on the most ruthless Leader!
I give no reasons for the choice candidates!

And I'll be the first to condemn the lot of em!!!

I'd like to hear your opinions, though!

Get voting!

Most ruthless? Vlad Dracula Tepes
...and be sure to remove your hat in his presence.

Aha!
The Son of the Dragon knight!

I forgot about him...good choice!

The most unpleasent leader OF ALL TIME? Who knows ,earth is still young and maybe there was once ,in a galaxy far far away some stupid punk ass alien leader that has sacked already three galaxie's.Not that we have to care a flying wheelchair.

Genghis Khan. His Mongol hordes depopulated whole wide regions fr Russia to the Middle-east to Central Asia to China for whole generations. :(

I dont understand Joseph Stalin is a great leader. Why many voted him as the most unpleasant leader. Many hated him because he turns USSR into superpower.Without him USSR will never confront USA.Dont forgot without USSR ,Hitler's butt will never be kciked.US and Britain alone are too weak to destroy Hitler!I know he is the one who spread communism around the world ,dont forget his good deeds for defeating Hitler!

Is Edgar Hoover supposed to be the president or the FBI guy? The prez was Herbert Hoover and the FBI guy was J Edgar Hoover. Anywho I choose the Mongols "friend without the r" Genghis Kahn. When I read the topic I was thinking "not the most evil leader but the smelliest" And G Kahn seems like he might smell the most.

Joseph Stalin presided over the "purging" (execution) of 11 million people--more than even Hitler! Outside of certain places flooded with propaganda, that is a well-known fact.

So I don't care WHAT good he did, the end doesn't justify the means.

(Actually it can be argued that Hitler succeeded overwhelmingly in Russia in the first years of the campaign, precisely BECAUSE Stalin executed some of his most competent military officers beforehand. Stalin was a paranoid megalomaniac. I wouldn't be surprised if he suspected his mother plotted against him.)

Also, don't forget the millions who starved in the Ukraine under his ingenious farming policies of the 30s....

Fayadi, you need to get out more. Read some banned books (Solzhenytsyn's The Gulag Archipelago is a good start, don't know if it's banned in China or not--maybe it's hard to get though), talk to dissidents, or whatever. Just don't get yourself arrested....

hitler only wished he could have been as ruthless as stalin. he never had the time to kill off as many people as uncle joe did.

I was one who voted J. Edgar Hoover. Not worst in terms of killing people, and I suppose not the worst in the WORLD, but to an American, this guy represents the killing of liberty from within, by stealth and deceit. THIS MAN is the one who first came up with the excuse of "national security" to justify blackmail, internal espionage, harrassment of dissent, silencing political enemies, etc. He was a power-hungry scumbag who NEVER worked in the interests of national security, but for himself and his cronies. He was the father of what could become our full-fledged police state if we let it (some would say we already have).

So to an American who loves his country above all else, HE is particularly evil. And his legacy continues....

Fayadi, I am from a town that was devastated by the Luftwaffe,
So I don't anyone here in the UK forgets WW2!

But stalin may have been "great leader" to you,
but I think several million dead Russian people would disagree!
Stalin was an inhuman robot,
The allies only sided with him to defeat hilter.

And I don't the the USSR's sole aim was to "confront US"!
It's aim was to promote communism, if Vladimir Lenin was
to be believed...:D

Ulysses S. Grant????????????????????????????????????????

What did he do to deserve being on this poll?

~Chris

His treatment and attitude to Amercian indians gave his reputation of being ruthless,
But of course he is not in the same league as say, Ghengis Khan!

I wanted a varied cross-section of leaders.:goodjob:

I thought old Hoover would be a good one to include,
When some young hippy protesters were shot in the 60's, he more or less told the parents the kids were commies and deserved it!

Despite his early police work he was still an ogre!
And a corrupt disgrace!

I'll have to agree with Allan here. You need to read more and know the world a little better, maybe travel a bit. You even got your Chinese history wrong ..... parts of it.

For me it came down to Stalin and Mao. They had similar records, both being Communists. Their political purges and agricultural policies, collectivization, resulted in the deaths of 10's of millions of their own citizens.

Here's one person's estimate of how many deaths.

Stalin's policies killed over 30 million people in the USSR. He was as bad as Hitler, if not worse.

And consider this, if Hitler had not invaded the USSR, Stalin would never have joined the allies. Stalin didnt save the world from Hitler, he saved himself.

I would never belittle the sacrifice of the 27 million Soviets who gave their lives up to the Nazi invaders, this is about one man and his evil.

Stalin was an evil despot of the fist order, and deserves to rot in hell with the likes of Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao and other mass-murdering bastards. The only reason we never warred with them (except Hitler) was they killed their own people !

Fayadi- The USSR took over every Nazi occupied territory it "liberated", and started the confrontation with the west. Not the other way around.

And Fayadi, in 1945 the US developed a weapon that would have defeated Nazi Germany with or without the USSR. Guess you didnt hear about it though...;)

I voted Hitler, but Stalin comes a very close second. Both killed millions of thier own people, both were lunatics but Stalin didn't start any wars that he couldn't win.
