Description: A resolution to impede the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Argument:
AWARE that the Weapons of Mass Destruction cause great harm not only to armed forces, but especially to civil population,

REALISING that the civilian population should never be either a target or a victim of any kind of weapons,

ACKNOWLEDGING that Weapons of Mass Destruction can be used by terrorists to attack said civilian population,

TERRIFIED that damage could be inflicted upon innocent civilians for either political or military purposes in order to ease a conquest or terrorist goal,

HEREBY:

1) Bans countries discovered developing or in possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction to cross UN territories.
2) Holds a vote to ban said countries from the Union of Nations and all it's organs.
3) Holds a vote to Condemn said countries.
4) Calls the Security council to hold a vote to legalise armed intervention against said countries if these attack third parties.
5) Any state found to be selling, buying, gifting, developing, or in possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction is to be the target of a multilateral armed intervention

IN ORDER to prevent such nefarious and murderous tools of Doom from ever existing.

Henceforth, this resolution is now international law and shall be enforced as such unless repealed at a later date.

The morning the resolution has passed. Hanna was about to grab her tea before reading the results. Her eyes dart to one line, "A resolution to impede the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction has passed". Hanna's brow started to frown as she slams the pamphlet onto her desk "Clearly the supporters of this resolution do not hold the value of other nation's national security" Hanna said as she clenches her fist. Hanna then turns to her Defense Secretary and notes "Were going to have to rely on hard power as our deterrent strategy". Hanna's Defense Secretary informed Hanna that the resolution would place other nations, not just the Republic, at ease and not worry about nukes flying.

Hanna then proceeded to ask her Energy Secretary "What should we do with our atomic technologies?". Hanna's Energy Secretary soon started to elaborate on simply just utilizing nuclear technologies for energy usage "With the nuclear power plants inside Vault 44 and the near by Millstone Nuclear Power Plant, we can improve their efficiency to provide more power. Plus place more plants on line to supply power to our electrified raillines and cities". Hanna then rubs her chin "Perhaps this must be the best thing that came out of this resolution".

These happen both as the result of chance and Black Ops. A coup if successful will cause the new state to become immune to clientisation by the former client state so long as it remains in power. (Think - could the USA re-buy Iran?) They will also repudiate the currency they were using and select another. This state becomes open to being bought off by another country, however; you can regain it by invasion or coup/revolution of your own.

Venice - Coup successful. No allegiance declared.

Kongo - Coup successful. No allegiance.

Nigeria - Attempted coup. Pro-Angolan government remains in power.

The Year is 2151. The UN has finally begun its operations, but will it end in chaos and war with how heated and emotional the debates can be?

Eastern Italy has joined the world as a major power, centered in Bari. Anxiety abounds over whether they will attempt to forcefully annex the rest of the peninsula; the Italians meanwhile compete in the Great Game, seizing colonies abroad.

Terrorism and political instability continue unabated alongside growth and prosperity. Will superpower rivalries make these themes even worse?

Xinjiang has risen to prominence as the world's foremost economy, 21% larger than the second strongest, Hawai'i. It also fields the most tax income of any state, 18% more than its closest competitor, Oz.

United Nations:

The United Nations has passed a resolution that has prohibited the research, development, sale and use of WMD. It was passed by a narrow margin - the Secretary abstained from voting, while the Demon Realm had to break the tie.

For 2151, the Secretary is the Cinque League.

Events:

Recessions - These have a 5% chance of hitting any nation and wipe out 5% of the Industry. They will in turn have a 5% chance of hitting any other nation with that currency - 10% if the nation affected is the sponsor of the currency.

Recessions have hit Cinque and Tibet. They have spread to Madagascar.

TF's Tips:

-Build spies. If you don't have at least one spy, EVERY mission against you automatically succeeds.

-Remember that lying about everything is 100% legal. In light of the new UN resolution, you could easily lie to convince the world x is developing WMD.

-First come first serve in the UN building if you're not the Secretary. Get your proposal in first, or you'll have to wait another turn. You cannot submit a proposal consecutively.

-The more clients you have, the stronger your currency becomes and the more economic bonuses you get a turn.

India doesn't want to appear related to criminal states. Therefore the government of India issues an ultimatum to China: If you attack your own civilian population, India will embargo you.

The Republic of Coruscant condemns the actions the Xinjiang regime has conducted against her citizens. The use of twenty tanks to control a riot is completely overkill.
