You have a long LONG LONG ways to go rebuild/repair your diplomatic relationships. You may be in Africa under a new name. But the sins of your past is still remembered.

IMO, the "Can I haz recognition as a nation state" is pointless (not to mention spammy) at best since all of us recognize each other as nation states in IOTs.
