he seems to have forgotten that a slew of Great Powers remain extant. Ergo in Afro-Eurasia we have the PUB, The Papal States and Takrur as the big three player nations, with Italy, The Demon Realm, Finland and Kongo being important AI's and up and coming player realms respectively.

In the Americas he conveniently Ignores Coruscant and the 501'st legion who remain strong, and of course the resident pot stirer, Venezuela.

With the political fallout, Hanna Antilles chose not to run for election for Chancellor. Instead, insisting upon taking up Governorship in the Nova Terra System. In her own words, she felt emotionally drained by the political power plays and would rather recuperate and recharge her batteries by governing in a quiet sector of the Republic.

In the political realm, the Republic party fell into disfavor and the newly established Reform Party of the Republic, known as the Butterfly Party, gain more prominence with their ideology of leaving behind the old world and reinventing themselves for the new. A society that has been scared by the recent events took to the Butterfly Party in the hopes of restoring the Republic's image back to the pre political storm.

One promising candidate, Kasumi, placed her name in the hat for the Chancellorship. The Party's founder Ayane was hesitant to prop her up for Chancellor, she placed her own feeling aside since to the voters, she was the last strain of Coruscant Earthian innocence that was not scared by the political windfall.

Kasumi has outlined her foreign policy platform to sever prior commitments the Republic had before her eventual inauguration, repairing trust that was lost: Both with her own people and the international community, and carefully send aid to nations in need. Many within the Coruscanti society were adverse of the idea of going into the international community after aquireing the emotional scars, but many said they'd give it another chance.

With a large standing army, Kasumi knows that she's going to have to start passing out Non-Agression Pacts to other nations to show that the Republic is not an aggressive warmongering nation. Her fist priority on a series of NAPs is Italy. With the lessons learned from observing her home nation, Kasumi would ensure that any alliance the Republic enters into is a defensive one and contains sane members within it's membership.

On election day, Kasumi was unanimously elected by a land slide and the Butterfly Party took the majority of the senatorial seats. Hanna herself won the Governorship of the Nova Terra System.

Tifa brought Kasumi up to speed. Though Kasumi is unable to do any diplomatic actions in the closing year. She sat down with her Cabinet on how to best repair the Republic's image and carefully sever the old ties with the old world that caused the Republic to get dragged into the mud.
