2 GB!

I played and loved Myst (finished it too :D) Funny how i've just been curious about Riven and wanted to play it, having no money i searched on kazaa and there were NO sources! Internet warez search turned up nothin as well (as always) so looks like i'm stuck. :( Looks like a sweet game too, and so does Uru, but a monthly fee would prevent me from getting it, stupid fees. Damn, i need a job :p

Hehe, I got to play Myst and Riven by checking them out from the local library; they must have at least 3 copies of each. :p

I searched your library's catalog, MummyMan, and all I got was the three Myst novels and a making-of book for Riven. :(

Right now though they have all three games in the trilogy packaged together for pretty cheap. :)

Whoa, thanks for going to such an extent. As for Uru, i doubt my pc could handle it. It barely gets by with Vice City. I could probably borrow my friend's copy of Riven though. BTW, i'm surprised my previous post didn't get edited or something for it's even mention of "warez" :nono:

You know, I doubt that you or I would be patient enough to download Riven anyway; it's five CDs!

Myst Mayhem: Be the ruler of Myst Island when the dust clears!

I'll lead a charge of Cataphracts to conqoure the fair isle of Myst- and then ALL the other ages, and worlds as well  well, except the D'ni- you have them CivCube :D

Uru goes GOLD!!!

From Uru Obsession:

"It’s official. URU has gone gold. For those of you who don’t understand the significance of this, a piece of software gone gold means that the item is ready for publishing. Cyan Worlds (URU’s creator) has sent the final version of the offline portion of URU to Ubi Soft for the physical CD duplication and packaging process. As the publishing process takes approximately one month, URU is now on target for its November 11th release.

Here at URU Obsession, we’ll be shifting our focus once more. Through the years we’ve developed from the tiny “Mudpie” rumor site hosted on Geocities, to the small news-based fan page, to our current archive of information and updates on URU. Now that URU is set to be released, we plan to become a resource of information and helpful guide for URU explorers. Soon we hope to make substantial updates to our website. Stay tuned.

With the full, offline version of the game completed, Cyan Worlds will continue to build their URU “online episodes," hopefully to be enjoyed by fans for years to come. URU Obsession congratulates Cyan Worlds on their intensive efforts in the successful development of URU: Ages Beyond MYST.

We’ll see you in URU!

Uru Obsession is an excellent site for future explorers of D'ni to gather and share the experience. I'm UruCube over there. :D

I'm a big fan of Myst, I've played all three games and read all the books. Much fun. :)

Its gone gold? sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet- after c3c, this likelly be the last game I get for a while...the scenery in those games, and possiblity of interaction with other, REAL people is just to cool to pass up- me and civcube can team up and take on the world(s) :D

Myst is a hard game. That's all for now!

I've already pre-ordered this game and I can't wait to get it.

BTW, those of you interested in the previous three games (Myst, Riven, Exile), Ubisoft is releasing a 10th Anniversary DVD containing all three games for $20. What's better is that they've apparently rewritten some of the code to allow them to run on XP.

On a side note, you can pre-order Uru and get the DVD for free. Also, the monthly fee is only if you wish to play the online version of the game. The single player is supposed to be quite extensive, so it should be worth it.

I've never played Myst. What's it like?

Myst is a strategy game where you wander around these worlds to solve a mystery. (Mystery. Get it! :D) These two sons are trapped in books and you "have" to get one of them out. One is supposed to be good, the other evil... But then it twists at the end. Can't tell ya, cuz it's a spoiler.

I played Myst all the way through about twice, and I really didn't like it. I found it cold and unintuitive. :p I also found it boring. However, you can thank Myst for me being here in the first place. I picked up Civ as an alternitive to Myst! :)
