Then I think that should be a major factor starting in the third age of the mod.
I could have three possible tech trees, with each one representing a certain path, the problem is I'd want those to be optional techs, so that AI doesn't research them all, yet that would create the problem of the AI only research the techs needed to advance an era.

Blue by parameters I meant ways in which a native people could not embrace anything western and survive.
My only idea: 3 different Civ-"group" tech trees, use Era=None techs, and decide which path each of your Civs would be most likely to follow (e.g., perhaps the Apache, who arguably became the finest light cavalry in the world, armed with rifles, would follow the "Europeanization" route.)
