The NRA is getting involved in children's entertainment

Unless NRAtv has a comedy sketch a la The Daily Show, I don't see why they'd even care. But I guess they do.

They know their audience. Racial grievance is part and parcel of the overall ammosexual movement even though on the surface those issues wouldn't be logically linked.
