The Obama Deception

I was referring to the "I don't vote republican."

I've always said I make exception for environmental regulations. I believe the commons IS a market that has gone unregulated. Even fiscal conservatives are not for completely unregulated markets. I'm a fiscal conservative, not an anarchist... that goes for all markets.

Green....

I'm kind of a "mainly one issue" voter. I feel environmental issues are the source of our problems. I might vote repub or democrat if I really identify with a candidate, but that's more state/local elections.

Something seems fishy here...

Edit: I thought so.

I also regard Environment as #1 Issue but I'm also heavily for social programs,
Lets get Back on Topic, I think the movie is BS

It hasn't been two months. What the bloody hell were you people expecting him to do? Part the Red Sea?

Actually I was expecting him not to repeat some of the same mistakes that Bush made nor act like Bush. I am getting progressively less enthused about his election and Democrats but that's the nature of our two party system (and libertarians being half great half crazy)

McCain proved to be unelectable towards the end of the campaign too. Obama always was.

Though I do still like Palin, she didn't quite earn the repub vote from me.

I held my nose and voted green.

Most of the post you link is my frustration at Greens choosing McKinney. I was venting. Notice the date of the post.

typical knee jerk reaction.

I said I would keep an unwary eye on him. I have seen enough.

A knee jerk reaction as compared to your thread title of "Obama Deception." Compared to your assumption in the OP that another eight horrible years are coming. Compared to you saying he's packing dynamite on America's foundations.

Right, I have the knee jerk reaction. Right.

Obama acting like he will do everything possible about AIG's bonuses, knowing damn well he knew about them before they were payed out, has sealed the deal for me.
Is that really fair? There were a few amendments put forth to limit companies that received government funds back when the legislation was written, but they were shot down by the republican caucus. I do agree that Obama could have been more forceful at the time, but I don't think he should take the blame for corporations being greedy monstrosities.

This.

even better is the fact that he admitted it :)

He knew. I know he knew. And he already is trying to pitch the argument that it may cost more to get the money back in legal costs, than the money the taxpayers would get back. He has done nothing to truly limit the bankers. He is putting a smiling face on the situation, and telling us we need it, just like he did when he voted for the bailout with McCain.

He is just another slick salesman. All Obama is to me now is the first black president. I am happy a black man was elected president, because it does give minorities hope for a better life, and hope counts for a lot, but I am no fool.

You don't even know what I am talking about. You pitched the two month knee jerk partisan rhetoric crap on me. In two months, the things he has done have been an outrage and a 180 from what he said he would do.

I wasn't even saying I wanted him to turn everything around. You think you are arguing with some idiot Republican hack like Hannity complaining about Obama not having saved the economy yet, and how the market is crashing because of Obama. I am not even saying that.

I have been paying attention, and this latest AIG false shock and outrage from him is enough. I've had it with him.

Firstly, this:

Second, it's not really about Obama, for those who only watched the first few minutes. If you watch the middle and end parts, it's basically another truther film like Zeitgeist or Loose Change, talking about an international banking cartel conspiracy to enslave us, with Obama and Bush as merely the frontpeople for it.

Lastly, Godwin'ed at 1:24:00-1:25:00, when it says that the global warming conspiracy = Nazi eugenics.

The only thing I have to say is: Is it really easier to believe in vast evil conspiracies than the plain fact of incompetence? At least you know the latter exists; the first one has to be postulated; reminds me of this:

Yes, he knew. What was he supposed to do? He doesn't write the law. He could have been more vocal about limits placed on bailout money, but that's it. The republicans still would have stripped those provisions from the bill.

..., but I am no fool.
The topic and movie linked in the first post suggest otherwise.

This is a side effect of his campaign speeches not being coupled to reality.
