The Obama Deception

You don't even know what I am talking about. You pitched the two month knee jerk partisan rhetoric crap on me. In two months, the things he has done have been an outrage and a 180 from what he said he would do.

I wasn't even saying I wanted him to turn everything around. You think you are arguing with some idiot Republican hack like Hannity complaining about Obama not having saved the economy yet, and how the market is crashing because of Obama. I am not even saying that.

I have been paying attention, and this latest AIG false shock and outrage from him is enough. I've had it with him.

This is exactly how I feel, but to a lesser degree. I don't want him to "turn the economy around" if the things needed to do that mean that we have to be lied to on a constant basis. Or if it means playing political football and doublespeak.

Yes, he knew. What was he supposed to do? He doesn't write the law. He could have been more vocal about limits placed on bailout money, but that's it. The republicans still would have stripped those provisions from the bill.

People like you have to defend Obama, because he has no backbone to defend himself with. He could have just voted against the bill, like the vast majority of Americans wanted. Then you would have seen a true landslide.

Burn is so 80s. Now we say snap.

Like this: "Ohhhhh, SNAP!"

Burn is older than snap, and back in retro appeal, while snap is actually at the lowest in catchphrase fashion, because it gained its highest appeal in the nineties, and fashion moves in roughly 20 year cycles.

You linked the propaganda piece of a person who could be considered a demagogue for his poor reputation with factual information.

I did? Oh dear me. How foolish. I though AJ was as legit as the BBC. Hmm.. I must have lost my head. Why do you suppose I would do something like that?

Okay first, it's been two months. Not even, it won't be officially two months for another three days. You're acting as if he's the one who was in control of the country for eight years!

He's broken a couple promises. Surprise! He's a little bit human and maybe even a little bit of a politcian. How shocking. Look, I voted for him, but I certainly wasn't expecting him to be the next incarnation of Jesus and change everything about the political game. I was expecting a few broken promises, and I'm not exactly happy with AIG business either. I'm not surprised there , I'd probably be more surprised if it turned out a couple human beings weren't being some greedy a-holes.

I wasn't even saying I wanted him to turn everything around. You think you are arguing with some idiot Republican hack like Hannity complaining about Obama not having saved the economy yet, and how the market is crashing because of Obama. I am not even saying that.

You're sure arguing like it. What were you expecting from him? Not to be laden down by Republicans and other Democrats in Congress who are looking out for thier own interests? Obama did talk about a lot, and its fair not to expect most of it from him, but he's a democratically-elected president in a system of checks and balances.

I have been paying attention, and this latest AIG false shock and outrage from him is enough. I've had it with him.

I'll repeat it a fourth time, two months. That's all its been. I've been in my second semester of college one hour longer than he's been president. Shall we bang out how the rest of my college and academic career is gonna go right now based on my current performance? I sure hope not.

Point being, you seem to be the one who put his pedestal so high. It's not his fault he couldn't reach whatever standards you're judging him by. Put people that high, and they're gonna fall, fast. Especially when you expect quick results.

I'm satisfied with an 86% keeping promises rate

WTH does this have to do with anything?

If anyone is watching, this is why Obama will win in 2012... because people like Gilder will just blame Bush... even if it is completely out of context!! Its like when the right was blaming Clinton the whole way through.

He's broken a couple promises. Surprise! He's a little bit human and maybe even a little bit of a politcian. How shocking.

No, he isnt a "little bit" of a politician. He is just another politicians, and a tool of the bankers.

You're sure arguing like it. What were you expecting from him?

To uphold and fight for the principles he espoused?

I said its going to be a horrible eight years, not because of what has or has not happened, but because I see him for what I he is, and his interests are nto mine, in any way.

Point being, you seem to be the one who put his pedestal so high.

I talked about Obama a lot on these forums, I'd like you to find one quote of mine that had him on a pedestal, especially a high one.

You expected a politician to go on a straightforward and honest binge in an election year? You didn't double-check his statements for feasibility?

If you had been reading this thread, you would see what I was expecting for Obama to continue to have my support. He could regain it in the it in the future, but I have serious doubts.

I have been reading. Someone is finding out what gullibility means.

I was hoping Obama would break his word on things that would make him a real champion of the people, and especially on things like Iraq and FISA. I was hoping he was doing ti simply to fool the populace. Instead, just like W, he is breaking the promises I wish he had kept, and keeping the promises I wish he had broke, only this time from the left, but to the same ends.

Please stop. You're just being stubborn now. My point was is that it's only been two months. Bush had eight years to muck things up. Obama's had two months and you've decided its all buggered and down hill from here.

No, he isnt a "little bit" of a politician. He is just another politicians, and a tool of the bankers.

Yeah, that would have been my point that he is a politician and as such a person really shouldn't expect so much of him. I wasn't expecting him to be the next Jesus or something, I was expecting a reasonable amount of change, and for him to handle the situation. He's not doing the best, but then again could anyone in his position?

Did you really believe he'd do everything he said in his speeches? I mean honestly, you're supposed to take everything with a large grain of salt and big gulp of realism.

To uphold and fight for the principles he espoused?

Okay. What principles as he dropped, in your opinion?

I said its going to be a horrible eight years, not because of what has or has not happened, but because I see him for what I he is, and his interests are nto mine, in any way.

What is he? You're making it like he's another Bush. I mean you go on about how he's not what he says he is, but you're being increasingly vague on what he actually is then! Am I supposed to assume he's some generic politician in a suit with his hair slick back rubbing his hands greedily as he fleeces the populace of thier gold and silver?

Again you do not chug everything he says and then wake up one day realized he may have been stretching the truth.

You're like Stan's dad on the episode of South Park about the election.

I talked about Obama a lot on these forums, I'd like you to find one quote of mine that had him on a pedestal, especially a high one.

It's become increasingly apparent through all your posts in this thread that you expected quite a bit out of him, more than humanly possible. You seem to like going on about how you see what he really is now after all this AIG business.

Please stop. You're just being stubborn now. My point was is that it's only been two months. Bush had eight years to muck things up. Obama's had two months and you've decided its all buggered and down hill from here.

Wsat Bush did in the eight years before has nothing to do with Obama's appointments, or the changing of his colors regarding Iraq, or torture, or signing statments, or anything else.

Did you really believe he'd do everything he said in his speeches? I mean honestly, you're supposed to take everything with a large grain of salt and big gulp of realism.

Ok... so you are implying I should somehow keep being happy he is president?

What is he? You're making it like he's another Bush.

He is.

Well, since I guess you have missed my point completely, from the beginning in dealing with you, I think the link i posted in the OP, pretty much sums up my frustrations with Obama. And I am not going to repeat the entire 2 hour documentary in text, just so you can argue in a thread about a movie you didn't watch.

So watch the move, and then beat up on it, and I will defend it, but right now, you are just trying to engage in a debate with me that I didn't even start.

So, Come back to me in a couple of hours. ;)
