NO!!!!!!!!! I did not mean that at all!!!! I just meant that it would be a good idea to allow the russians to some how build more units then other civs like a huge reduction in cost so those size 2 cities can make infintry in a couple of turns!!! To make it more accurate in that the russians would go and conscript/make armies large ones but poorly trained in a little while... I did not mean screw up the bloody game!!!

well... Im not saying the Russians were poor at military operations, that is for sure! The thing is is that the typical soldier in 1914 wasnt nearly as good as their German equivalents and sheer numbers were not enough in WW1, but absolutely in WW2 as the skill of the Russian soldier was better. Russia was able to quickly replenish their numbers with its immense population, unlike the German army. Im just saying that the Russians in WW1 were not strong enough to hold the Germans back, though they could beat austria if Germany was not there. It is not about "Russian Hordes", it is a fact that the Russian soldiers during WW1 were nowhere near the german troops, but could beat austrian troops.

30? I was looking a little higher than that. I know civilian was 20 while the army is still being debated, but I heard as many as 35, making a total of 55. I was just saying the Russian solders werent as good, but I have absolute respect for the russians that they were able to hold and I sympathise with them for what they have suffered.

No sabotage vote, merely a matter of my opinion. Yes I know I'm a new poster but I have played all of the Civ series since the orginal
The reasons for the negative vote :-
The British navy is incorrect, as is it's level of re-inforcements for it;s army
The Russian navy is incorrect(way to few) as it's reinforcements for it's army (way to many).
The Russian army is way to strong when compared with the Germans and Austrians. I was able to destroy Germany and Austria by the end of 1914
In general artillery is far too strong, given a little planning it's possible to have a high speed break thru.
If the game is set for a VP win it ends within 3-4 turns and without it it never ends ( todate Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Turkey, Holland and Sweden have all been eliminated) but I am still short of the land for a domination victory despitehaving a population of over a billion.
The tech-tree needs work, both over the time it takes to recieve a tech and the starting techs (i.e Britian unable to build Dreadnoughts or Russian Light Artillery)
None of the above is meant to be flippant or to cause offence, but as an opinion was asked for I felt it right to express one. The scenario is an interesting one, but is still, at least in my mind, a work in progress and I look forward to playing the completed version
