With both oob and sabrine missing the last turn i suggest we reload... playing against statues is only so fun. And please why can't you just play it out? Is it that hard? It sucks to play against AI who have no clue...

Well so far she's only missed one turn (excluding the current turn, which isn't finished yet), once she misses 3 turns (and I'm sure you'll let me know) I'll contact her, and replace her if I don't hear back from her shortly after that.
Best solution would be to just have everyone come together and finish this in one go so we can move onto other things as this is arguably close to the end.. She missed the first turn too btw as you reloaded with very short turn left on the clock.. I don't care about replacing her... just getting her to know the game have started up again... I am not sure who would want to play out the game from her position anyways so finding a replacer would be rather hard...

The reason not to do that should be obvious.
I should remind you all, that we have several active players, and that ONLY ONE PERSON WINS. This is not a 'team game', all alliances are by their nature temporary in a free-for-all game. So as host, the only time I can allow two empires to be run by the same person is if they both agree.
Also, this is how pitboss is meant to work: if someone is missing or drops, the AI can take over while we wait for a replacement. This is not like other kinds of strategy game where one person missing derails the whole game.
That being said, I will message Sabriane when I get home in an hour, and will replace her with an AI next turn (and start looking for a replacement) if she doesn't show up before then, in accordance with the rules. And of course, feel free to try to find replacements yourselves, I've just put up a thread and am waiting for replies.

In general I would agree, but is seems that most of the world has a common enemy at this point in this game, which made me think the usual logic might not apply.

I'm unwilling to let anyone control another civ without mutual agreement between both players, replacements can be found quickly and easily enough.
Anyway, I'll be kicking Sabriane and looking for a replacement when I get home, so the current turn won't expire.
