Let me know if you're not getting email notifications, as I may need to update the email list, however temporary replacements should not expect to get them anyway (as I can't be bothered changing the list that often), so you guys should keep an eye on the civstats RSS feed or something.

Also, I'm about to send out an email to all current players, let me know if you don't receive it (unless you're a temp).

I forgot to forward the port for this game till just now (I had for the other game but not this one), so if you've been having troubles getting in this is probably why.

Ok well the connection is going at least, but now for some reason my server becomes unresponsive after a few hours or something. Clearly, God is punishing me for being an atheist.

For the time being I'm going to leave the games off until I can get the server to stop being a piece of crap. This is basically a trial-and-error process of 'try something and see if the computer lasts more than few hours'.

Things seem to be stable now, so I've brought the servers back up.

BTW I loaded from the most recent autosave, so if you were the most recent person to take your turn you may have to retake it.

Also, if you don't get enough time to take your turn, let me know and I'll work it out.

If you tried it in the last few minutes and it didn't work it's because I forgot to reopen the ports, it's fine now and I've confirmed this with 2 players over MSN.

If you get an email with no subject it's the turn notification, I'll fix this when I get home.

ok well it appears civstats is sending out emails again, so I'll just turn off the email notification when I get home and we'll be relying on civstats instead. So if you want email notification, register on civstats, let me know if you need any info for this.

Currently the following players haven't logged in or been heard from since the server came back up: Conquistador45 of China, Ragoczy of Zululand.

These players have been replaced with AIs for now, and I'll start looking for temporary replacements for them in a couple of days. This temporary positions will become permanent if I don't hear from them by a week from now.

I've decided to remove the 'no deals with temporary AIs' rule (see the rule list here) because it's unenforceable, and because I'm trying to keep the rules list trim. Let me know if you have a problem with this.

Good news and bad news:

Bad news: The server crapped out and I had to reload. Only crazy joe will have to retake his turns (he was the last in both games), I've already contacted him about this.

Good news: I've figured out a way that I don't have to log in remotely with a separate account than the one I usually use... hopefully this should make things more stable as I won't have two accounts going at once.

As usual my server sucks. So tomorrow I will format it and give it a fresh install of windows. For now the server is down.

And if that doesn't work, I will buy a gun, and I will shoot it.
