Something like this, only it does not have the headphone.

lol, find an example without the ear piece or i don't believe it exhists!

Is there any real difference between "night" and "nite"? I too, wondered about "though" and "tho" -- usually I will use "night" & "though", exception being in text messages where I have limited space.

WTH does IIRC mean?

I use it as "If I Recall Correctly"

If I wanted to increase my post count, but dont want my post to seem like spam, what is the best way to do so in this such thread?

I'd ask questions about using words, and make sure that each question has its own post.
Things like 'do you write 'different from' or 'different than'?'

Why would anyone want to increase their post count? I see people on here with thousands of posts and a join date less tha two years ago and I just think "how sad is that?"

And FWIW (for what it's worth) I think this is a very useful thread. A place to ask a quick question and get a quick answer without cluttering up the board. I've seen similar threads on other boards and they were good.

Actually, the veterans of CFC crave for more post counts, we are post count whores...

We get better titles with higher postcounts. And it's very impressive to have over 30 000.

Ranking = Power and respect.

Perfection is our God!

And you, Dubai_voi are just a simple peasent

Accept the fact and bow to your new god!

What makes Perfection and Fifty so famous?

I'm not worthy!

Meanwhile, to prevent this becoming a spam thread: why do so many people put garbage in their "location" slot? Lots of responses are useless if the location of the poster is unkown.

Another question from cappin Dyslexia -

"But" and the placement of commas. A pair of commas denoting a subordiant clause would normally be placed so that the sentence would read if the commaed clause was removed. This doesnt seem to hold with "but".

To quote myself from the Churchill/ Myth thread -

Gentlemen, it's not pretty, but it's a sight better than UKTV Gold. Ten year old re-runs of Eastenders and more Bergerac than you can shake a stick at...

That sentence would read without the commaed clause if the "but" was the other side of the comma, but that would clearly be wird.

What's up with our English butts?

Why is the sky blue?;)

Do you find long signatures annoying, or are they fine (=is mine annoying to have there).

The sky isn't actually blue. The blue is just a reflection off the oceans. Or some thing like that.

Why can't OSHA leave me alone? ( its because the union has it out for me but still)

Isn't it because of the ozone layer deflecting the sunbeams in some strange way? I think you mean that the ocean is a reflection of the sky...

999th post...

Why is the sky blue?;)

Because the different colours (wavelengths) of sunlight are refracted at differing angles by the atmosphere.

The picture shows that during the day the more strongly refracted blue light is most prominent, though at sunset the sky takes on a more reddish hue.

Lots of little breaks in between whatever it was I was supposed to be doing. Or while I'm relaxing in other ways. Rarely am I ever just browsing CFC, even if it is mostly alongside other things.
