The religions in this game

Hey Lemon growing up in a Police State household isn't too bad, as long as your city has a barracks you get 2 happy.

EDIT: Whoops, that's Nationalism ;) Never mind then ;)
Did I mention that Dad built the AP in the back yard? ;)

Yup, Budhha was a Hindu before he founded Budhhism. Perhaps that's one of the reasons that the coexist relatively peacefully.

Nit picking here, but Jesus was a Jew, but the holocaust still happened?

Hmm...interesting. Unfortunately, I am not very well versed with the nuances of religion and history

it doesn't make sense to be able to found buddhism or christianity/islam without being or at least having a hindu or jewish city. the ai pumps out missionaries so it wouldn't necessarly put all the religions in one country. you would a chance of developing holy lands(jerusealum, india).

Heh, the order you ask is the typical order.

There's too many game balance issues with swapping where those techs lie. Just to illustrate, the Sumerian UB is a UB because it's slightly cheaper and available at priesthood rather than CoL. This allows players to get away with far more expansion with gilgamesh than they could with most other leaders early in the game. He gets somewhat close to infinite city spam ability with an experienced player, limited only by his room to settle. Now, if you give everyone this ability the entire dynamic of Civ IV shifts. ORG becomes ridiculous and expansion and early war get huge buffs...
