I don't know if mentioned before, but anyone feels there is a case to make for the Basks ?
Sure, Europe is full and everything, but hey, some claim that the Basks were there long before the huge migrations resettled Europe or even that they were the "aboriginals of Europe" saving themselves in the western part of the Pyrenees.
For sure they are culturally very distinct and the Bask language is unrelated to any other. But I am sure that you history freaks out there (I thought I knew history quite well, until I started roaming these forums... ) have more relevant info about them.

I am from Europe, Spain is my neighbor country, and I don't know many things about them. In fact no body knows.... They speek a totaly diferent language, not a latin one. They came from some part of the world and acomplish to live there (north spain) until today. They are fighting (terrorism) to independence. They should not be considered a civ In the most a city in the spanish civilization.

id say israelies. please no hungarians, or poles, or tibetans. we have enough european (in terms of real world, not cultural group in civ) civs and asian civs, so i vouch for the israelies the most, followed by nigerians or ethiopians, and also polynesians and aboriginees.,

Regardless of whether or not Byzantium is part of Rome, there are still to many European (Or would it be Mediterranean) civs in the game.
I feel sorry for Shaka, he is one of only three brown leaders in the game (unless you count Cleo) Mali HAS to be in. And I'll shout about it just as loud and with just as many smilies as Xen.

1) The Poles actually don't use the Cyrillic alphabet 2) That's really like saying Finland and Portugal are really not all that different because they both use the Latin alphabet 3) AFAIK, the Poles aren't Slavs, while the Russians are. 4) By the same logic, Israel shouldn't be in as the Arabs are already in, and they are Semites too !

They are famous for inventing food. Or was it stealing water from the gods? In any case they certainly invented the Minidisc.

I really hope that people want them for world map reasons, other than that they are extremely pointless, imo.

I voted for the Aboriginies. Anytime I play on a world map with true starting locations, It takes forever for someone to reach Australia and settle.
