The RoundTable!

Well to me it's part of the role play to find some arguments for our slavery - maybe an ironic reasoning similar to the the stuff politicians and capitalists tell us when they pledge for lowering taxes for the rich and companies while at the same time cutting benefits for education and poor people...

I always smile when I come across ancient quotes that perfectly describe the mistakes we currently make... ;)

But a little side note on the new reigning BABE would be appropriate, too. However I do not notice any change in their behaviour nor playing speed. But I feel relieved about (over?) the recent lack of threats in the turn tracker... ;)

Ok! I've heard the cry of the people… and I've begun the prep-work for a new edition of The RoundTable.

I think we want to avoid addressing the worker trade with Saber. Not so much because of the Slavery issue – but just to avoid drawing attention to the cooperation of Saber and ourselves. We have to address Bach, of course, but I'd rather focus attention on the recent massive advance of team FREE.

Working headlines & slug lines so far:

Story #1
The Men in Bach
The Treasury
Investigative reporters working for The RoundTable have uncovered a government plot to bury all evidence of visitors to our world… and cover-up abductions of key moderator personnel.

Story #2
Profligate and Profitable Profanity?
The Admiralty
Completion of the Theory of Evolution and the Hoover Dam in FREEland has sparked the addition of brand new curse words to the world's vocabulary.

Story #3
Cartoon
The last one was a hit – and you'll really like what I've got in store on this one! I promise. :)

Hopefully that's looking ok?
I'll post more when I get time to make more progress! :salute:

Men in Bach sounds great! Very good idea to highlight FREE's dominant position. What would we do without you General? :salute:

And good catch also to drop the slaves story. Ain't nobody's business.
If they care, they can try to count those slaves in the F3-screen :p

Although the socialist in me wanted to see such a story on May 1st (labour day in Germany)...

I didn't have any of my PBEM saves to play this morning (they've all stalled!)

But the good news is that this gave me extra time to work on the new edition of the RoundTable!

Hope you enjoy! :D

Now we just need BLCG to return to play so that I can post this in the UN!
(unless there are any objections to the content?)

 from me. Love the cartoon. ;)

Thanks gentlemen! :)
Could you tell what the first picture was? I tried to not to make it TOO obvious... but maybe I went too far?

I think it was perfect. I didn't see it when I first looked at it, but after reading the story I looked again and found it.

Not obvious at all. In fact I had to look twice after Niklas said he found it. Nice.

 Ok - that's what I was afraid of.
I'll make it more obvious for version 2

Any more suggested changes while I'm at? I'm happy to take any constructive criticism.

EDIT: Also - I hope the humor in the "Profligate Profanity" article wasn't too obscure?
I always worry that I've over-thought myself!!

nope - those were obvious. And I'd leave that pic the way it is. Someone will get it and then it'll get around and people will go "oh, that's really cool!!"

 - ok. We'll stick with the subtle approach.
But if no one comments - one of you should bring it up after a day or two :)

I'm not sure I know what you guys are talking about in the first picture... I suppose I'll wait until it's published in the UN.

I see something, but it's pretty obvious. So I'm assuming there's something else that I'm missing??

Well, the

Spoiler :
flying saucer next to Bach's

is obvious to me now but I didn't notice it until Niklas said something. If there's more than that then it's buried too much for me to see.

no - no. That's it.

While it may be obvious to someone that enjoys crossword puzzles ;) ... it's probably harder to see for the less paranoid among us. :D

Anyway - I'll leave it as is.
Posting it in the UN now...
:salute:

Glad you said that...
