Urm, with testing I of course mean looking if the flags show ingame. I can't do any graphic work. But I'll take a look at the XML file that goes with the fix and see if that does any good.

In any case, this fix showed the flags for me in the EE3 mod, and I did have the white flag issue without using this fix.

Of course, since JBG is AWOL we could ask (beg) someone for different flags if we wanted.

Strangly I did'nt need it for the EEMod. but it should work like this. It's a weird bug

Edit: and you don't need to do graphic work just change the alphachannel it's just a few click in the dxt
the xml alone won't do it!

Yeah, well, simply switching the xml file doesn't work. I got warnings for 4 colors then and when starting a game Civ4 drops back to desktop.

Have a look at this Tutorial:

you'll just need the dxtbmp not the gimp. How to use is explained there but instead of bucketfilling the alphachannel black do it white and save as dds 3.

To remove the warnings you'll also have to change the colour values in the xml. how to do this is also explained in another tutorial.

Edit I think there are some factions that use exactly the same colour if there's no secondary, so you'll have to create 4 new colours I suppose and assigne them to the faction you see fit.

Ok, an update...

't Will take a bit longer then expected. The greenflagged civs work out fine, the redflagged ones show emblem and flag red (can just distinct the emblem), NASA and ESA look pretty good, but need to compare with the dds viewer. The rest just have a black flag now.

I'll tinker with the XML file now and see what that gives.

Done. The Lunar Federation had me confused for a while, but their flag background is black by nature.

Now just creating the .zip's...
