I just need a list of everything that people found wrong, especially cosmetic stuff. Basically stuff an update could fix easily.

Balance and gameplay suggestions can go into a separate category.

Coding still has to wait for now.
 
how much coding do we need? i think this mod will shine on its graphical and creative merits. We should see what SDK mod elements will actually help the game be better.

What would be best is a review of the tech tree, and from that, a list of all the graphics to be done.
 
I'd really like GeoModder to help us make the colonies start with like 4 buildings and not grow until additional ones are physically built. That would make a huge difference to me. Right, Geo? :p

Yeah, the tech tree is something I did right off the bat and we never tinkered with it. It needs it.
 
sure thing! however, I doubt this game is updated to the latest patch if I am certain, and we do need city art graphics to be updated cause they use the regular civilization 4 city arts. I think we need a new art and model on the turrets and other units to make them more... "sci-fish" then concept art.

I don't know if we should do something about that forcefield and defense base thing that allows you to make your city turn into a regular city or military city.

The combat Engineer need to be changed as well, I suggest we should remove the combat engineers so that the workers can at least build all the terrain instead of separating each other, or we can do a quick reformation and be able to allow the combat engineers to build military cities like a settler instead of a worker. Military Bases only build military units and a few special military improvements. The regular settlers should just build citizen Cities to improve economy, research, and other improvements.
 
Boy, I thought we were 1.61 compatible. If it runs without screen issues then it's fine.

Is there enough interest in this mod for me to ask TF for a Public forum?

I recommend on getting the forums, as we are remaking the game since the administrator of this mod have abandon the game, and you have been chosen to gain control of this mod so we can rebuild this game.

Ok, I've checked and it's compatible from the latest patch. I think we need to add in more promotion to something that a sci-fi things to fit in, and also fix some TXT errors laying around the civilopedia and promotions.
 
These TXT errors are what I need to know about without having to go looking for them.

I've learned a lot about modding in the past year so some of these mistakes aren't likely to be repeated. I'll just make bigger ones...
 
Yeah, and have to make up a theory and solutions if there is some type of bad chain reaction, I go search them up and let you know about them, I will make a huge list of all the TXT errors that are in the game, searching one by one.

meanwhile, I wish they change the religion to something else...

Most of the terrain need descriptions and stuff.
 
Garret, do you know how to do citysets like asio did with Lal? Can you take models I've made and turn them into moon colonies?

I have some basic buildings done and I'd love this mod to start with tiny colonies and grow with new buildings.

Do you mean only four buildings in the whole city at pop 1, or 4 different kinds of buildings at pop 1, from which some will show a few times?
In any case, it is always possible to create a fixed .nif file, a basic moonbase so to speak. The only drawback is that all moonbases will look the same at their core then.
