My high school did the Three Musketeers for a play. I got to play the lead bad guy Rochford... I didn't get to stab anyone though

bloody oath. Keflas the only one with his head screwed on straight.

What im trying ot say, is that us three post most of the stuff here at the general discussion.

and why musketeers, what else, 'the three people who post lots'?

If by general discussion, you mean off topic, then I understand your meaning, but not your logic. Do the other two want to moderate, firstly?
Just posting a lot, IMO, does not giveth moderation rights. It is more what you post.
GK definitely has a lot of interesting stuff to say, and scorch and stellar (BUT HE'S DEAD/GONE, ISN"T HE????) as well, but it is a little too early to give holy moderation status. Hmm. And a lot of other people post in Off Topic mostly. I do, for starters.
Besides, the blokes here are doing alright, and there seems no climate for change any time in the next century. And I am against giving a New Zealander a job, especially moderation, out of principle

Scorch, if you do get your throne, try to stop your one line posts like the one in the Israeli Arab thread, just for our sake

Fellas,

I was just speaking with GK, and he asked me to convay his thanks, and is gladened by your support, but he has no desire to moderate the Off Topic forum.

A different forum, perhaps, but not the off topic.

Yes they did . They were the first of the French royal guard regiments equipped with muskets. They were (with both palace and field duty) dragoon regiments, mounted infantry. At the time time period covered by the three books in the "Guardsman" trilogy (The Three Musketeers, Ten Years Later, & Ten Years After) they were actually two regiments, the Blacks and the Grays, so called from the color of their official horses. As with most Dumas novels (Mostly fictionalized historical adventures ) many characters were historical persons. The real D'Artangion eventually became Colonel of one the the two regiments, he was killed in an assault on a fort in Flanders.
The two Dumas (father and son) actually ran sort of a novel assembly line with them creating an outline and some the character defining scenes and assistants fleshing out the books. Two of the early novels, The Page of the Duke of Savoy and The two Dianas, cover the same period and the many of the same events following different characters and with much continuity variance between the two books.

I thought Aramis was still alive, and something or other General of the Jesuits, at the end of the 3rd novel.
Yeah, I think the 20 year interval is correct. The third one is 20 years later, or, the Vicount of Bragelome, the title charactoer is Athos's (Count of Fer) son.
