how is it done? Through an alternate universe? Through telepathy? Through supernatural powers?

Find out as we take stroll through The Innovia Zone.

Well, actually it was just a computer at my school. I'll try telepathy next time.

To help TBoy feel welcome I propose we start a tradition that all new members buy a round of drinks.

I completely agree with you on that one, 1889. ;) It should be our initiation rite. :D

We should start recruiting a bit more then :p

Talking about recruiting, I pmed Chamnix some time ago. He seemed interested, but he said he was too busy at the moment, we might have good luck later though :D

By the way, we're having a bit of a blizzard here. I've been busy digging out furnace exhausts, doorways and the vehicles but am loosing the battle. Our cable will probably get knocked out too so I may be away for a few days.

As soon as T Boy walks in the door, we'll hand him his bill for a round. These virtual tabs can get expensive. :mischief:

I only just noticed that you live in Alaska. You're the first person on these forums that I've ever known to live there. Is that a permanent or temporary residence? :)

Is 14 years permanent enough for you? I love it, grew up in Southern California, hated that.

But isn't it really cold, snowy and windy? Here in Denmark it's only about -5 degrees and I still feel it's too cold and wouldn't consider moving up norther. :)

I've mostly lived in Anchorage (about the same latitude as Oslo) which is right near the water (so typical winter temperature is -10 C, which is honestly quite comfortable) and shielded by mountains to keep the wind down. Snow fall is quite significant though, 8+ feet!

I loved Anchorage, but my wife got a way better job in Bethel (most maps don't bother to show it, 400 miles west of Anchorage on the Kuskokwim River.) I think this is the biggest river delta in the world, so it’s flat and since all the water here freezes its windy as hell and bitter cold, wind chill often as much as -40.

According to 2005 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city was 6,262.

That's quite small isn't it?

Big enough though and growing pretty quick.

Well, the town I live in has approximately 18000 citizens, and that's hardly enough to get things like a cinema or things like that.

Get married and 20 years older and you wont even miss 'em. :)

True, but at dutchfire's age the amount of pubs and entertainment facilities indicate a city's size. ;)

My city has around 1400000 citizens. :p
