The Unit Library

Currently updating and adding, hope to finish this week.

All I want to know is how to use Paint Shop Pro 8 so that I can put all these units onto one, nice, organized unit_32 file. Can anybody help me with that? So far I've been teased to insanity by all these awesome units, yet I can't even figure out how to put them into my game. Also, if you know of a FREE program I can use for doing this, suggestions would be helpful. Sorry if I posted to the wrong forum, but this Lab Monkey guy is a true gem. Later.

Lab Monkey is long gone, but others seem to be helping out here and there. There was supposed to be a CFC-run library, but either I'm blind or it's been delayed or abandoned.

Any program that can cut and paste a pcx file is all you need, which covers all the later versions of PS, AFAIK. I thought I heard some of the older ones are free... There's a tutorial on the units_32 file that may help.

As for adding new units - Kraken. You seek Colonel Kraken!

Oh, and wrong forum - start a new thread in the Creation & Customization forum for any questions. This forum is for unit posting.

Ummm, I'm updating this thread, it's just that I don't do it very often. I probably do it nce a month. I'll try to update it soon.

I just got Conquests...
I may not update this library for a while, but fear not, I will update it at some point before the end of the month. Sorry for being so lazy, but I will get around to it.

Hey-- I'm a noob to this stuff so excuse my lack of knowledge. I was wondering about exactly how to use some of these units and actually put them into the game. I read some of the tutorials and stuff but I just wanted to clarify. After downloading the stuff and unzipping the files and putting them in the unit folders how do I get them to the game. Should a picture appear in the Scenario unit editing thing? I understand how to work with the rules and everthing-- that's easy, but how do I know that the unit is in the game. Let's say I have that crusader unit. It's files are uploaded and junk and I have a new scenario and I added a unit named crusader to it. What do I do now? Sorry this is so long, but if anyone could just help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

There is a tutorial in the toutorial section. Not to mention that the post listed directly below this one is a tutorial.

I know nobody cares but in the Pediaicons.txt folder thing, how do you get the correct animation? In Kryten's tutorial it say that you take the stuff you need from the Pediaicons in the scenario. The problem is, I downloaded these units--they are in no scenario so I don't have the correct Pediaicon PRTO_..... thing. I tried it and it doesn't work and I think this is why. If anyone could tell me what I'm missing, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Don't post your questions in this thread, please. Use the main Customisation and Creation Forum.

I'd just like to make an announcement - I'm too busy right now to update the library, hell, I don't get the chance to even post much anymore. Being in High School, 2 Honor Bands, having a job, and working on an Eagle Project tends to get in the way of things. (To think I want a grilfriend, too!) :dubious: I'll finish this library during Christmas break, I hope. Bug me. Until then, I probably won't show my face around here, but I do get the chance to look at new units every once in a while during keyboarding. Sorry for shirking my responsibilites, I'll finish this later. Promise. Cross my heart, yada yada yada. It'll be a Christmas present. So, until than, sionara!

DON'T OPEN TILL X-MAS!

P.S. - There might also be some presents in the forms of new Spart-Will units...
And they might actually look good! Just imagine... Me, finishing something... Oh well.

BTW, don't post here unless you have somthing valuble.
Links = good
Tutorials = bad

*Cough* :sad:

I actually messaged Thunderfall - and he has no knowledge of an "official" library.
That said, may as well have creators post their own work:

:sniper:
Here is the Sniper unit:

Download the unit here!

In the future if you post a unit here either post a preview (my preference) or at least a link directly to the preview in whatever thread it came from.

It really is a terrible pain in the but to click on each link wait for the entire page to open and then see whether you want to get it or not.

p.s.
I was on dial up until last month and I felt this way then and I still feel this way, sure previews take time to load, but they save more time surfing through pages you don't need or want to load in the first place.

Thanks
