And so it came to pass that a new, shining city arose: Andor Gen'Shar, the City of the Highest. Built of cannibalized hull plating from their mortally wounded starship, the city's metal spires shone like sword blades on a world that should not have seen such advanced construction for another six thousand years....

....and In'Shai Kor'Ath, the commander of the starship that had brought the Gen'Shar to their new world, was re-christened Emperor Kor'Ath, lord of his people.

And so the ancient contest of survival began. At which point....

(Yes, this is where you open the spoiler.... :) )

Seems the scenario has at least one or two more bugs in it. :D

Well, that's not gonna stop the story. There is only one acceptable way to win this scenario, and you all should know what that is.

Further updates to follow. The struggle begins!!!

Well, if you have no problem with the fact that I just won the game in 3950 BC, there's no worry. :)

I find this puzzling, because I turned off all the victory conditions except conquest. I've got no idea what I screwed up.

Another problem I noticed is that I should have taken Nationalism out of the list of techs the Gen'Shar possess at game start. This messes up the early game a bit, because the option of defending Andor Gen'Shar with cheap early-age units doesn't exist--I've got warriors, and Riflemen, and that's it for now.

:light_bulb_goes_on_smiley:

Damn. Now I know what's wrong with the scenario--and why the victory screen fired so fast.

I should have seen it right from the map creation screen--when the list of rival civs was blank. My civ was the only one that was placed on the map!

Well, time to go back to the drawing board and get the settings straightened out. We apologize for the inconvenience. :)

so far the story is amazing better watch out for what could be behind those trees

CONQUEST in 3950 BC!! New All time record!!

:mischief:

Okay, this time it WILL work properly.

Right.

No, really, I mean it.

Anyway, I rolled up a new start--which seems to have yet another bug in it, because I possess Flight technology even though I specifically did NOT include flight in the Gen'Shar starting techs. Shouldn't knock the balance off too much though--because I don't really know how balanced this is going to be. :)

Okay, now I gotta start the story all over again:

There. Now that everything's straightened out....the epic struggle for survival begins.....again.....
