WAR TEARS RIFTS IN ALLIANCES. As German soldiers pour across the Polish border, the diplomatic effects have been far reaching indeed. In the halls of both the Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Comitern, alliances have failed to exacerbate the war. Across Europe in Dublin, Madrid, and Rome massive anti-war rallies have been held. Diplomats with the major powers have cited that ATO is a defensive pact and none of the nations involved are required to assist Germany in their war of aggression. Within the Comitern, Mongolia and Poland have both pledged to fight to the end alongside the Soviet Union, though the Peoples Republic of China and the Mexican Free State have both proclaimed neutrality. World War Three seems to have been averted.

US ANNEXES UPCA. Washington D.C., United States of America. Following an extensive plebiscite the majority of the United Provinces of Central America has voted to join the United States of America. The exception to the rule is the newly formed nation of Honduras, which voted to retain its independence. Nationalist elements of the recently establish Honduran military have coronated reknown general Vincente Mejia as King. The rest of the former Central American nation has be absorbed by the United States and have been admitted as three more states into the Union. Despite the success of the plebiscite and extensive majorities, much dissent arose among the northern parts of the United States which has protested the addition of such large numbers of Hispanics.

UNION MOVES TO RESTORED CAPITAL. London, Union of Commonwealth States. Applauded by many and attended by many dignitaries from the across the globe, the Union of Commonwealth States has announced London to be the capital of the federation. The completed city and the newly rebuilt Parliament has been proclaimed by the Prime Minister a symbol of our times and a reward that our conviction has brought us. (-5% Dissent)
ROMANIAN CIVIL WAR CONTINUES. The front has stalemated in Romania, though bombing raids by the Soviet Air Force have made considerable progress in helping the communists gain air superiority. In addition the arrival of Soviet aid and volunteer divisions have allowed the communists to launch a major offensive, throwing the Republicans back into Sofia.

GERMANY INVADES POLAND. Citing responsibility for the attempted 1932 assassination of the Kaiser and assault on the Reichstag, the German army has mobilized for a full scale assault on Poland. Met by stern warnings by Soviet authorities, Germany disregarded the threats and launched most of its forces into the Eastern European nation. Reminiscient of Chinese campaigns against Nippon outside of Peking at the onset of the Second Global War, German forces have attacked emphasizing mobile assaults, particularly with the newly designed Stuka close air support fighter. Most of the Polish Air Force was destroyed in the opening week of the war, though they did manage a zeppelin raid against Berlin in which all of the airships were lost to enemy fighters. Massed German armor with infantry support then stormed across the border, smashing the scattered Polish armored division and its supporting forces along the frontier. The largest Polish army surrendered at Lodz in the third week of fighting, though several scattered smaller armies remained active east of Warsaw. The arrival of over a quarter of a million Soviet soldiers a month and a half into the campaign signaled a halt to the rapid German advance as heavy fighting broke out at Cracow. With no orders to continue into Russia, the German forces stopped at the border and throughout the first part of the 33-34 winter, both sides have stopped into winter quarters along the Polish-Russian border.

Thanks to Nicaraguan trade increases with the West African Union, the American Accord has offered significant training and military technologies to the small African nation. Representatives of the Argentine government have proclaimed this to be part of an Accord effort to help promote democracy in West Africa. The Union has applauded the efforts of the governments of the Accord and thanked them graciously for their support.
