The World Turned Upside Down

Argentina will state that the US simply wants a war.

They have lost all sense. We urge them to wait until all the evidence has been settles. Should they continue on this path, it will be very regrettable for the world as a whole, we know not of one nation who is not affected by either Argentina, the US, or both. We did not commit this attack. We wish for world peace.

Of course we want war; Congress has been devastated and their blood is on your hands

If Argentina wanted peace, Argentina shouldn't have slain the US government.

So, in essence, we become protectorates and colonies under this plan? As we have stated before, we have no hand in this mess, nor does most of South America, that we can vouch for. This incident, most likely staged or created by individuals or a single country, serves as grounds to colonize South America? Is this your justice? Guilty until proven innocent? If you have abandoned your principles and ideals, it seems that the deaths of so many Congressmen will serve your shift in ideology, no? If you are going to start a war with a falsified and flimsy casus belli, so be it. Brazil would love to maintain friendly relations, but, when our sovereignty is threatened with war, so be it. We will fight as we have in the past. A European yoke has been replaced by an American one?

Or else succumb to the horrors of war, which you instigated.

You ended your "friendly relations" when you betrayed your people and joined the American Accord, bringing the weapons we had given you to defend yourself against them with you. We fight you not to oppress, but to liberate your people and given them the freedom they yearn for.

Is this your justice? Look at the facts.

What has the American Accord have to gain from killing congressmen? A pissed off US? Think, would the US government collapse if congressmen died? No. They would elect more.

Weigh this. Either kill a few replaceable leaders and be threatened with imperialism or do no such thing. Which would you have? This is an unfortunate incident, but do you think Brazil is even rich enough to fund this? Is it not strangely coincidental that all these links are thrown out to tie Brazil and Argentina in this? We cannot vouch for Argentina and we consider them no great or close friend. We have warred with each other, no? So, even with slowly improving relations, do you think our government would work together on this?

As the relations in the Americas deteriorate, it seems more and more reasonable to blame those who refuse the American Demands. Those who accept them sign themselves to innocence, those that condemn them, guilty. We, as well as, we hope, the ATO, will stand by the United States of North America in her hour of need, and will follow her, stand by her, as long as we can.

Won't that be funny. You'll kill us to liberate us. You will take away our elected officials and democracy to preserve our rights. You will bomb and destroy a weaker, poorer, innocent country and continent on trumped-up charges that we are innocent of. Freedom? Freedom from American imperialism, no? From puppet governments thrown together to keep South America even weaker and poorer than it already is, no? Freedom from death? A justice system that works solely on circumstantial evidence? That is what the people yearn for. Note that Brazil is not a place filled with fascists and racial extremists. We have our democracy. We have our votes, our uncorrupted government. The people have the power in our nation. You threaten to take that away from us and South America.

Germany is pleased with Scandinavia's actions and welcomes her wholeheartedly into our crusade against evil.

We are distressed that Brazil sees American leaders as replaceable. It does nothing to affirm your position, but rather strengthens the point that you see them as expendable.

Perhaps you have never heard the phrase "witch trials"? Those who drown or accept the punishment are innocent; those who disagree and proclaim innocence are automatically guilty? Your jails must be filled if that principle were applied to your justice system, no? So, what is to prevent the US from stating a hypothetical pothole in a road is a case of South American sabotage? Those deny it are guilty and must suffer. Those who accept the punishment and pay reparations are innocent? So, in the end, you end up punishing the "innocent" countries with virtual national slavery and the "guilty" countries with war?

Has the oppression been shifted? America now wishes to yoke the South American people?

Look at these terrible, unfair terms. It's like forced vassalage. We do not wish to become a protectorate, or a commonwealth of the United States, or a vassal, or what-have-you. They are all disguised forms of becoming another colony of the United States.

We will remain sovereign, thank you. Venezuela has had no part in this and we have already opened our archives to Council of Nation members.

Do you think that just because a fascist bombed the United States, that now this is the entire country's fault? Not even that, but the whole alliance's? Surely the United States is not as stupid as that.

But while we're making wild postulations, I have one for you: What if the attack was led by American forces themselves to shift the political balance of the representative democracy?

Why do you think we would voluntarily agree to give up our navy? Sure, a railroad, and we're all for that. We like the economy. But all those other terms? Simply unacceptable.

We will not be subjugated like Mexico.

We do not see people, lives, families replaceable, however, we understand that a democratic government will not fail under such incidents.

We ask if your nation were accused of something, and were innocent, would you accept those conditions? they ask for the complete loss of soveiregnity of our nation. Would you be willing to lose that when you have wronged nobody?

As well, when all of our spending has been accounted for, how would we give 10,000,000 pesos into a bank account for this attack?

Spain dencouces the warmongering of the USA. while this is a sorrowful event, It is no Excuse for attempting to Impirialize the western Hemisphere.
They should be assumed to be innocents until Clearly proven Guilty, which they have not yet, though Evidence dose point to Brazil and Argentina.

you are also Extending Blame to all the members of the American Accord, when the evidence points that if Argentina and Brazil did this on their own, if they did infact commit this crime. your Demands on the other members of the American accord is frankly outrageous and uncalled for.

we will not take any actions Against fellow ATO members, and if they truly continue to follow this path of foolishness, we will mearly remain neutral in actions. We are also conducting our own independent investigation into these matters.

But you already have worked together. As state previously, you fomented a war between yourselves in order to garner US technology through illicit means. the proof is in your own public correspondences:

GAH! BRAZIL! The phony war is not phony! We had the peace treaty. If you want me to formalize one, I will. This is getting annoying.
((thread Page 65, post #1297))

Once more the damning evidence continues to mount against you.

The American Accord has in the past denied the sovereign right of AMERICA's Democracy to exist! What of Argentina's attack on Chicago? Followed shortly by undeniable evidence of the guilt of two major nations? Previous politics mean nothing when the nations involved have both the motive and the desires to cripple the US government. We have offered you peace at a reasonable price for the LIVES you forcefully WRENCHED out of Congress. And yet now you stand with utmost arrogance, decrying us as the oppressive nations and yourselves as poor and oppressed. Shame! Shame on you, that you should trivialize the lives of those 400 congressmen! Shame on you that you should consider these crimes not worthy of punishment!

Your refusal to accept the terms of PEACE for your heinous crimes which the impartial Council of Nations HAS ALREADY ADJUDICATED ON is nothing less than an act of insolence, a confirmation of your act of WAR!

No more banter! Speak now to a concrete wall; your lies shall not penetrate the barrier of justice.

Germany declares WAR on Brazil and Argentina!

@Jacobite, i believe that was a statement in OOC, and therefore not really legitimate. Not much actual credence can truly be drawn from that remark.

We have given our demands to the American Accord in order to ensure our political safety and the safety of our citizens. As we have stated, we will not allow American Accord members to give lip service to neutrality and aid Brazil and Argentina in reality. If our ultimatums are not met, then there will be war between us, as there already is between ourselves and Brazil and Argentina.

TO WORLD
FROM ARGENTINA

Germany has declared war and decided that no more is to be said, when not all is out. See their actions for what they truly are.
