GLOBAL WAR ERUPTS. Following the previous year's invasion of China by the Common Front, the Muslims have been preparing themselves for a massive jihad. Announcing terms giving by Nippon, the government in Mecca has announced that western China and Pakistan shall both be returned to the welcoming arms of Islam. In coordination with this, the Islamic nations have launched a full scale land and air offensive against the UCS and China. In addition Saud has warned the European League that if it does not withdraw support from Turkey and Greece, the armies of Islam would march west in the next year to begin liberation of Albania and North Africa. The new Islamic offensive has compounded the growing global war, which already was exacerbated by Germany's declaration of war and blockade of England. Across all of Eurasia the nations have begun mobilizing for the next Great War.

HENRY FORD ARRESTED FOR TREASON. Detroit, USA. Corporate mogul Henry Ford and several of his close associates have been put under military arrest by the American government for high treason. In what is being called the "Trial of the Century", the prosecution has vowed to prove that Ford was responsible for the recent Chinese acquisition of American tank designs and production. Several members of the American military establishment have also been linked to the espionage effort, and the trials are scheduled to being in February of 1922. President Coolidge has stated that this shows that "even the wealthiest are not above the law." This has also brought to an end of American movement to become more involved in Asia, and support against Nippon has been destroyed with Ford's treason. (-1 Private Enterprise for USA, +1% Dissent)
HAITIANS RISE IN REBELLION. As soon as Haiti was occupied during the Great War, a simmering resentment towards the United States has remained since 1903. With the rise of other American power within the American Accord, the Argentinan and Bolivian success at establishing other American strength, the Haitians have risen against the American occupiers. Using a combination of voodoo mystique and nationalist tendencies, the new Haitian regime has siezed control of most of the Island with the exception of Fort Miles, an American naval base on the west coast, where 2 full Marine divisions have holed up, backed up by American naval might. WAR IN CENTRAL AMERICA. In a stunning attack commanded by Presidente General Cuervo, Nicaragua has launched a full scale assualt against the United Provinces of Central America. Announced by Nicaragua as a nessecity to contain American imperialism, the attack went underway in March 1921. The fighting has since bogged down as both nations enter into a deadly stalemate in bad terrain and rainy weather. Already it is estimated that over 25,000 have died from disease alone in the fighting.

CEASE FIRE UPHELD AS PEACE BEGINS IN SOUTH AMERICA. Following the brutal Platinean War, the governments of the American Accord and Brazil have agreed to a ceasefire. At a diplomatic conference in Beunos Aires, the American Accord has dictated peace to the devastated Brazillian nation. However, several minor sections of the treaty still are in the process of being ironed out, and the final exchange of territory and funds will occur on July 14, 1922. In preparation for a new era in South American history, Bolivian and Argentinan businesses have begun exploiting the new spoils and conquests of Brazil, shoving out older local business. Foreign diplomats view the cease fire as a definite symbol of the rise of a new America, undominated by colonial powers in Europe or North America.

EUROPEAN LEAGUE FORMED. Copenhagen, Scandinavia. With the official dissolution of the Tehran Pact, the European members of the Pact have united in arms in the form of the European League. The new trade and political organization has made several decisive steps in uniting southern Europe, bringing both Switzerland and Turkey into the new alliance. Though some nations such as France and Scandinavia remain aloof from the new alliance, the European League now faces the remnants of the Common Front in the world's next great conflict.
DANZIG CONFERENCE. Danzig, Germany. Following last year's demolition of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, Germany has hosted an Eastern European diplomatic conference which has temporarily resolved some border disputes between the new nations. The vicious dispute between Poland and Hungary over the Slovakian region was first brought to a close by Germany forcing Poland to accept Hungarian demands using technological progress as a leverage against the Polish government. Romanian and Hungarian disputes were also brought to a close by German insistance on an end to nationalist demands. Only the German occupation of the northern Balkans has not been successfully resolved as Serbia refuses to be dragged into the quagmire which is the rest of the Slavic zone of the Balkans.

AFRICAN UNION FORMED. Pretoria, Boer Republic. Now without protectors in the Tehran Pact, the Boer Republic has announced the formation of the African Union, an alliance between Abyssinia and the Boers. The new alliance is said to be dedicated towards creating a more prosperous African people, though the Dutch ancestory of the Boer leadership lends much doubt to the new alliance. Many in the world view this as an alliance of convienence for both leaderships.

POLITICAL TURMOIL IN UCS AS WAR ERUPTS. Winchester, UCS. Following the last year's vicious assualt on China by the Russians and Nipponese, the Parliament of the UCS called for a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Nehru. However, the day before the vote was to take place saw the Islamic assualt on western India, and Nehru remains in power as a battered UCS enters yet another war. This effect was compounded by the birth of a new German blockade, though this is a minor problem as shipping has begun going through Scottish and Welsh ports instead. Many are against the war, especially in heavily Islamic regions of the UCS, particularly those which have already been attacked by Muslim forces. However, the majority is ready to fight to hold their freedoms and nationality.(+5% Dissent)

AUSTRALIANS RISE AGAINST GERMAN OCCUPATION. Australians in the German zone of the continent have siezed an American arsenal along the border and using the weapons there as well as stockpiled arms, have risen against Germany, proclaiming the free nation of the Australian Free State. Australians in the region have been in severe conditions for the past few years, being overwhelmed by refugees from western Australia and the Philippenes, as well as being severely restricted by the German occupation leadership. The Australians have siezed several German armories and the assets of several important German corporations to fund their fight. Appeals have already been made to both the governments of the USA and the UCS.
GERMANY CRUSHES UCS FLEET. After cornering the English fleet off the mouth of the Thames, the powerful German navy proceeded to level the remnants of the Royal Navy. Though several destroyer groups remained in deployment in Asia, the UCS fleet was trapped and destroyed by the forces of Germany. The Battle of the Thames sealed the fate for any naval ambitions of the Sino Alliance.. However, the veterans of the Royal Navy made a fair account of themselves, inflicting over 2-1 casualties on the German Navy, giving the world a demonstration of why Britannia ruled the seas for over two hundred years. All over the UCS, the valiant defense of the Thames has been lauded as a rallying cry against the forces of the Common Front.

NIPPONESE LAUNCH OFFENSIVE TO BLOCKADE EXTENSIVE ASIAN COAST. In a task which seems to most to be impossible, the Nipponese have declared a blockade of the coastlines of China and the UCS. To help enforce the new blockade, the Nipponese have siezed a multitude of coastal islands in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Most notable in these efforts were two brutal fights at Hainan and Ceylon, though both were ultimately successful against local militia. Despite the success, the coast remains still largely unblockaded and trade continues nearly unhampered by the Common Front's efforts.

COMMON FRONT BESIEGES PEKING. The Manchurian front has been one of extensive back and forth and brutal fighting. Facing the whole of Chinese Army saw the collapse of the Russian military in the region after a brutal fight northwest of Peking. Despite the Chinese victory over Russia, the Nipponese quickly moved in to replace the collapsing front. Using air superiority and superior quality helped Nippon effectively sieze full control of Manchuria. Thanks to American businessman Henry Ford, Nippon now faces an army not so far behind its own in quality. In addition to the American tank designs, Chinese military forces have developed a new anti-tank cannon which has seen much success against Nipponese armor. As such, the main Nipponese onslaught was halted not far north of Peking. Unfazed by Chinese resistance, the Nipponese proceeded to use their overwhelimg naval supremacy with Russia's help to launch an amphibious assualt behind Chinese lines. By the end of 1921, Common Front forces are threatening the Chinese position in Peking with strategic encirclement.

BALKANS ERUPT IN WAR. In a major assualt, Common Front allies in the Balkans have launched a full scale assualt against the European League in Eastern Europe. Romania has agreed to withdraw from the European League and now is neutral in the ongoing conflict as the massive Russian army prepares itself for extensive conflict in the Mediteranean. This all follows from the 1919 declaration of restoring nations to previous rule and to restore the balance of power in Europe. Already Bulgarian forces have siezed control of Constantinople in cooperation with a Russian naval force, sweeping aside minor Turkish resistance. Furthermore, Serbian forces have skirmished along the northern Greek border, though major fighting has not yet occured.

With a massive invasion of over a million men, the Muslims have poured into western India and China. The minor border garrisons of both nations were easily overwhelmed and destroyed.
