Alright, I have another question for wayninja and garbage0707. By any chance did you get Civilization from Steam? If so, that might be why you're getting the interface problem. I don't know why, but it seems that people who got CivIV from Steam and having the same no interface problem with a variety of different mods.

Yep. Got Civ and the expansions off of Steam. I dont know why but switching to a new profile in XP seemed to fix the problem. Havent had an issue since.

Hmm... Well, that's good that you're not having any more problems. When you switched profiles, what settings are on your new one? It is an administrator account(was your old one)?

My old profile had administrator privelages however, I switched over to the local admin account for the computer. I know that really doesnt narrow anything down but if you want me to run any tests, lemme know what I can do!

I'm just wondering, because as I said this seems to be happening with a lot of mods, and the only common like being Steam. I can't really think of any tests that we could do, as Steam is supposed to be the same as the regular BtS... It is good to finally know what the problem is though.

I am having the same issue with the mod described above (no interface) - and I am also running BTS from Steam (though I have the retail versions of Civ 4 and Warlords). Any help would be appreciated. I can confirm that running the mod as an administrator does not help, though I will try with a new account.

I have the same issue as balthazaar on the download page thread w/r/t the "choose religions" option - it doesn't do anything. With the option on, civs that discover a tech linked to a religion get that religion, without an option to choose. The only difference with the option on is that the tech tree is correctly updated (to show "discovers a religion" with the right techs, rather than the specific religion linked).

That's weird. I just tested it out - Choose Religions works just fine for me. Anyone else having this problem?

I have a different problem. The mod works until I get a dialogue screen from one of the computer civs that wants to exchange something. Sometimes there are no response choices and when there are, they can't be selected.
I've updated through 3.17. I was also running the unofficial 3.13 patch before the update to 3.17.
I'm running on a Windows Vista system with 4 GB memory.
Regular BTS and scenarios are running fine.

I tried again with "choose religions" on and got it to work. This time I played through the game from the start instead of using advanced start. It may be that only religions founded by techs bought during the AS phase don't allow you to choose.

I'm not sure if this is what happens in the unmodded game.

That is a diplomacy bug that is already known. It will be fixed in version 1.1.0, which should be as soon after next version of WolfRevolution comes out(which in turn is waiting for the next version of Wolfshanze). It should be out within the week.

That particular bug is fixed in WolfRev, 1.2.2. Some users still report a frozen diplo demand bug, but I haven't been able to replicate that, so I think it's comp spec specific. Also, unlike the blank diplo options bug from WolfRev 1.2.1, which in effect stops the game (as the bug continues on a save game reload), the users who have experienced the frozen diplo bug associated with WolfRev 1.2.2 said that saving while the demand was being made and loading that save allowed the game to continue. I wish I could fix that bug, but as noted, I can't reproduce it on my setup, so I can't really figure out what's causing it, let alone try to solve it's cause.

Of course Wolfshanze previously stated Wolshanze 2.86 would be done around Christmas or New Years, so updating now when the next build is close would probably be a waste of time. But then again, who knows, maybe Wolf has decided to implement some new change for Wolfshanze 2.86 and it wol't be out for another few weeks or so. You could always ask him over at Apolyton to see if things have changed.

Ok, choosing religions still doesn't work quite right. With the option turned on, I was the first civ to discover Purification. This, correctly, gave me the chance to choose a religion - I picked Amun-Ra.

The problem is that I -also- founded Shinto, in a different city. It's as if the Purification-shinto link survived the choose religions option.

I can send a save game before and after this happens, if it would help.

Yeah...In a custom game when I choose a religon, Hinduism immediately spreads to my lands. So, for instance I pick Taoism, and before it says Taoism has spread to my lands, it says that Hinduism spreaded. THEN it says Taoism has spread to my lands. I even tried it on a conitent where I was by myself so I know it's a bug.

Yeah, that's why I'm waiting instead of updating now. I don't want to update the day before the next wolfshanze release.

Huh, you're right, it does do that... well, I don't know what could cause this at any rate... I can only think of two solutions:

1) After you found both religions, enter Worldbuilder and delete the one you didn't pick.

2) Play without Choose Religions.

Yeah, I just turned off choose religions.

I'm not sure if JARM alone has this issue, or if it's caused by interaction with other parts of the merged mod.

It shouldn't be JARM because that is designed to work with Choose Religions. If you play JARM without Choose Religions, there is no change from the vanilla game(Which is why I added a few techs and modified some existing ones to found religions).

I've been having some more problems with religions. Despite being the first to discover techs, sometimes I don't found a religion. This has happened to me with both Toniatuh (Calendar) and Judaism (Monotheism). I'm pretty sure that I'm the first to discover the tech, since I can tell from the religions screen that they relevant religions haven't been founded. I suppose its possible that other civs discovered the tech first, and that for whatever reason, the religion failed to trigger for -them-, but that's pretty much the same bug anyway.

I can send a save showing this if it's helpful. I'm playing with Choose Religions off.

The mod is great otherwise.

If you already founded one religion, you can't found another. It is supposed to work this way, however I seem to be having a lot of problems with religions. I have no idea how this is happening, but without Chose Religions on, I'm having religions founded way out of turn, for example, Islam will be founded in 300 B.C. before Christianity, and Zoroastriansim(Which is supposed to be disabled) founded the same turn in the same city. I'm trying to fix this, but I don't know what is causing it.
