I would go for another caravan, to maximize trade for our science city.
 
I also vote caravan, I don't know who voted settler... but you shouldn't take away population from your science city...

But Sun Tzu's Academy can be built in a different city, one with good production, such as Fort Pornstar, though after it's corruption is gone...

This city is at size 8 with a surplus of 7 and realy needs an aquaduct to grow.more people=more sea tiles used=$
 
Aqueduct sounds best to me. Thanks for mentioning it Duck :goodjob: otherwise I wouldn't have remembered it.

In the future it would help if we (the voters) knew what the build options were. Maybe a screenshot of the build options for a port city could be included in the General Info thread. Any ideas on this?

Yeah I agree, I forgot about it, and now I am stuck with my caravan... :(

I think one time somebody did, last term though. May have been Dell19.

That's true. Which is why I suggest it is done for one port city in the General Info thread. This way it would show all production possibilities for our empire, and then the governors could post individual polls with screenshots of the city displays for each of their cities, including the one that was put in the General Info thread since it was partially blocked with the build-options window.

You can take 2 seperate screenshot's for it ,put the slider at the top to take a screenshot of unit posibilety's ,and then the slider down to take screnie of improvements& wonders.
 
I could do that: 1 screenshot for the city status
2 screenshots for the build options.

However, that would make a long loading time for each poll and triple the work for me. ;)

I think that the "all possible build options" approach is better: the president posts all possibilities, and then people substract invalid options mentally (stuff already built or inland cities) for each city's poll.

Or a textual description for the options of each city, posted at the first post of each poll. I really don't know what's best.
 
I'll go with the flow and vote aquaduct.
But another thing: this is our SSC, how can this city ever build anything with only 7 shields of production???? We'd better produce some caravans in other cities to be able to build the wonders in this city to get more science.
 
YES to aqueduct!!!!!!

We NEED to deliver that sleeping caravan along with the one that's completed as well. Perhaps we can build a caravan elsewhere and then "home" it at THDP and send it out as well to provide for 3 total routes ASAP.

I would suggest that we RUSH the aqueduct ASAP as well. Right after I'm hoping that we can start some food caravans to build Copernicus when it's available. Rather than starting a wonder as a placeholder and then switching, building caravans will allow THDP to veer off and build something else if necessary.
 
I know that an aqueduct can be expensive to rush-build, but I would still at lease advocate that we ad some shields via incrementally rush buying some cheaper items and then switching back to aqueduct to finish production.

We should spare NO expense when it comes to our SSC, it should get priority on everything we can and even rushing a few lines of shields whenever we possibly can. It will pay off in a huge way over time.

Those caravans, though, those are the most important. Send them to one of our own cities and it will set up a very lucrative route coming back the other way for free! Nice!

Hmm... not sure what you're getting at. I realize that the food will "start over" if the city is size 8 and then fills the food box before an aqueduct is built. There's no helping that, I guess.

I was merely trying to forward the idea that rushing what we can in the SSC will be helpful whatever the case. I'd say put production to barracks, rush it for some cash (once there's some shileds there first), then change it to aqueduct and let it finish naturally. We'll get it built sooner and save some money when compared to rushing the whole thing.

If it completes and the food box is not filled, that's still OK. We'll still save time as we're now able to get to the next improvement for the city.
